Whilst functional a disappointing space to relax after a days walking
Great Location. Clean bathroom and kitchen/ fridge. Clean sheets and towels. Easy check in with the key safe outside .
Whilst clean on the surface the property Could do with a deep clean and downstairs wasnt a nice place to sit in the evening . Upstairs was fine but downstairs smelt damp and fusty. The heating came on for a hour in the morning / evening and the ‘hive’ heating control appears broken and I could not get it to override . I bought logs so I could get it warm in the evening but still it was a disappointing relaxing space as the TV although ‘smart’ is small and difficult to operate and the damp smell .

Great little cottage in fabulous Alnmouth
Lovely little cottage - well equipped, furnished and an easy self check in and check out using the lock box.
The cleaner arrived an hour early at 9am whilst we were out, and started the changeover before we had actually left which was very unusual, especially as we still had some belongings in there. But this was amicably resolved at the time and apologies accepted. There was also sand in the bottom of the bed which was a bit strange but overall the cleaning was to a high standard.

Great little gen in Alnmouth!
Grebe Cottage is a little gem, right in the heart of Alnmouth and walking distance to everything in the village and to the beach. Cute cosy and deceptively bigger that you'd think inside, good use of the loft bedroom and the other 2 bedrooms are great. The well equipped kitchen had everything you needed if you wanted to self cater, including a Nespresso coffee machine, so bring your Pods! The the log burner added some cosy warmth to the chilly February evenings and heats the place wonderfully in addition to the central heating. Lovely pubs a and restaurants in easy walking distance or crawling back distance! :-) The Village shop / Post office is an Aladdin's cave you can literally get anything there!
nothing really, the on-street parking is fine, out of season, may be more difficult in the Summer months, but plenty of car parking around the village. So no biggie.

Fine for our purpose, a comfortable long weekend in centre of village.
Location good, convenient for village,food.and beach.Views from windows were interesting rather than attractive…backs of pubs etc. Comfortable, warm, very well fitted out and clean.. Owner was helpful when t.v.didn’t come on.
The garden space isn’t up to much, it needs t.l.c. but I guess in summer it won’t be very pleasant as it’s surrounded by bins. Would suggest that living room might be cramped with 5, better for a family with young children….though there isn’t really any outdoor space and occasionally cars drive immediately outside the window.
