The apartment was homely and practical, it had everything that we needed. It is set in a peaceful garden with plenty of birds and the view was beautiful. The whole area of Brenton on Sea is calm and we had a relaxing time with our family. We felt very safe. We enjoyed our time on the water at Leisure Isle in Knysna and liked the fact that we didnt have to rush home, as Brenton on Sea isn't far from Knynsna or Buffalo Bay. Our hostess, Helene, was very friendly and she went out of her way to make sure that we were comfortable and had everything that we needed, making it an enjoyable, memorable stay. We look forward to returning.

There was quite a strong smell of damp, especially the first day. Host was very apologetic about it but I do feel it would be remiss of me not to mention it as, to be honest, had I know that I would not have taken the place despite the fact that almost everthing else was excellent. It may well not be the situation on a permanent basis though.

Gorgeous views. Spacious home. The caretaker was very friendly and helpful. A tranquil retreat in a safe area. Close to a small convenience shop, restaurant, and Pizzeria. Walkable (20 -30 mins) to beach for those who are ok with uphill return.
Double bed was pretty hard, but we still slept well
