57 On Sea

Firstly, the communication before we arrived was excellent. The host, Helene, not only checked on our estimated arrival time, but sent us info on what was on in Knysna during the Oyster Festival as well as her suggested local gems that we should visit There was even a lovely bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival. The accommodation was exactly as it was advertised -clean, neat, spacious and comfortable. All amenities were available and the dishwasher and tumble dryer came in very handy. I wished we had time to use the braai and had more time to explore the surrounding area. The beach is a short drive from the house and there is a lovely local pub (great food at good prices)) down at the beach. Also a beautiful hotel with great views where you can eat or enjoy the coffee). We will be back.

Loved everything

The apartment was homely and practical, it had everything that we needed. It is set in a peaceful garden with plenty of birds and the view was beautiful. The whole area of Brenton on Sea is calm and we had a relaxing time with our family. We felt very safe. We enjoyed our time on the water at Leisure Isle in Knysna and liked the fact that we didnt have to rush home, as Brenton on Sea isn't far from Knynsna or Buffalo Bay. Our hostess, Helene, was very friendly and she went out of her way to make sure that we were comfortable and had everything that we needed, making it an enjoyable, memorable stay. We look forward to returning.

Nothing

There was quite a strong smell of damp, especially the first day. Host was very apologetic about it but I do feel it would be remiss of me not to mention it as, to be honest, had I know that I would not have taken the place despite the fact that almost everthing else was excellent. It may well not be the situation on a permanent basis though.

The location was good and our host was very help full and friendly
