Great location as a base for hikes and recovering in Ambleside. Nice garden, although it was shared with other cottages. Well equipped kitchen meant we were independent.
Very hard bed, we had sore backs after 4 nights. One toilet roll for the stay. No tea towel in the kitchen to dry dishes. Cleaning kit provided with dishwasher tablets but no dishwasher. No washing up liquid provided. Smell from fireplace chimney stuck in your throat.
