Comfortable and a good location

The location was excellent, close to everything we wanted to do. The bedrooms were comfy and the house generally was nice and clean and well equipped.

The pictures make the living and kitchen look much bigger than they are. Only 5 comfy chairs in the living room but sleeps 6. Few broken bits around the house which were reported on arrival.

Everything about this property was incredible! The location was excellent, the property itself was very cosy and comfortable, it had anything we needed during our stay, we just loved it!! It had sufficient parking for us, the kitchen was fully equipped, the instructions were easy to follow, it was beyond our expectation! Would love to book it again!

Fab location, full range of amenities, spacious accommodation, nice extra touches.

Good location, convenient but away from the busy main road. Private with good parking. No view of the lake, but surrounded by trees and gardens; very peaceful. Good size rooms. Well equipped kitchen.

The kitchen bin is too small for catering for 5/6 people, the rubbish spilled out onto the floor a couple of times; I realise many people eat out on holiday and wouldn’t mind, but we cook our own.

Beautiful location and perfect to attend a wedding in nearby hotel. Lots of space.

Apartment was very spacious for a family of 5. This included 3 bathrooms which was great when we were all getting ready for a wedding. Parking immediately outside which was convenient. Beautiful little complex of lodges and I would definitely recommend.

The apartment although very much acceptable just needs a bit of an update. TV’s are older models. Furniture and decor is dated.

Lovely property. Great location to see the best of the area.

The property was lovely - clean, very comfortable, with a great location between Ambleside and Windermere. It is opposite the Brockhole Activity Centre and jetty where you can catch the boat for tours on the lake. Easily accessible by public transport with a bus stop almost on your doorstep. The lane behind the property connects directly onto one of the popular walks in the area so it's perfect for exploring the area on foot, as well.

Merewood House is perfect for a family holiday. Great location, beautiful, peaceful surroundings. It was well equipped with everything we needed. We stayed here as a 3 generation family. There was plenty of space for us all. It was also spotlessly clean. Thank you. 🌸

Quiet time away in the Lake District

It’s very big and in a nice location. It’s far away from the street so you can enjoy the quiet.

In their photos they advertise a small cabin with a table in the backyard but the gate seemed to be locked

Lovely property . Very accommodating hosts . Great Location

Booked Merewood Lodge to attend a family wedding at the Merewood Country Park Hotel . The accommodation was perfect for our family group . It was lovely and clean . The hosts had thought about everything . Clear Information book , including how to operate equipment within the Lodge and things to do nearby . We particularly appreciated the little extras like family games, dvd’s etc although we didn’t get time to play them . The accommodation is very well equipped and in a beautiful setting .

There was nothing to dislike . Everything was good .
