Great location, lovely comfortable lodge. On arrival there was no hot water, called one of the contact numbers and within the hour a staff member from the holiday park came and fixed the problem.
On entry, the lodge did smell of dog. One of the oven racks was too small for the oven, so only one rack in use when cooking.

The 3 bed lodge is located in the White Cross Bay holiday park (on the edge of Lake Windermere). Easy parking and short walk to edge of Windermere lake and easy to get around in a car Easy check in with a key in a lock box Good standard of cleanliness throughout Good shower with a good selection of fluffy white towels including large sizes Reasonably comfortable beds, sofas and dining chairs Mostly well equipped including a dehumidifier for drying towels. (hairdryer had either been swiped by another guest or put in a place I couldn't find)
Slow to communicate - The lodge owners were very slow (in my opinion) to respond to my initial text for help with the hairdryer and the Expelair noise. My text was sent at 07:53am and responded to at 20:49 - 12.5 hours during the daytime for a 2 night stay is slow in my opinion. They did apologise for the delay. Interior noise - The property is in a peaceful location and neighbours were quiet but the boiler and bathroom Expelair make for a noisy difficult night first nights sleep unless they are turned off at the switches (which we figured out for the 2nd night). Needs some TLC - The lodge has a lot of potential but is tired after the holiday season and needs several areas of maintenance some of which I noticed have been mentioned in previous reviews and dismissed by the owner. It is one of those places you have to figure out "a knack" to make several things work rather than things being obvious or just working, Examples include: the patio doors (the lock is difficult to turn so decided it was too much effort to use them), you need to hold on to the gatepost to close the gate because it moves, you need to hunt the switches for appliances (or ensure you read the provided info book), the dishwasher was blocked too even after we checked the filters, thankfully we didn't use that many dishes so could wash by hand. The hallway carpet was a trip hazard. Wifi was patchy on Saturday night whilst watching Iplayer (possibly due to peak use across the park if it is shared) A What3Words address or the picture of the lodge numbering layout would have helped us find the lodge quicker as the signage wasn't completely clear (Skiptory Howe had an arrow for straight on and left arrow on the same sign) and we had to ask someone after doing a few circles. I reported much of this to the owner by text and they suggested they will be making improvements and replacing the hairdryer.
