    Like coming home
I'm from Illinois so I love the old Midwest houses. This apartment reminded me of home. Old houses have unique architecture. It was simply cozy. I would book again if/when the opportunity arises.
I thought that there were only two apartments. It took me a while to understand why it sounded like other people were above my head. I got scared a few times as they went up and down the stairs. It sounded like someone was in my apartment. Once I figured it out I was ok.

    We enjoyed our stay there.
Well renovated 100-year old house. Cosy and clean. Good location. Private parking.
Just a small recommendation that - a kitchen exhaust blower in the kitchen. - a table cloth be added to the dining table.

Very nice stay and had all we needed right there.
Was situated in a quiet neighborhood and easy to navigate to my destinations while visiting. Plenty of room inside.
I had a hard time with the entry door as it asked for the first 4 digits of phone number and wasn’t sure if that included the area code and the 1 at the beginning. Might be easier to use the last 4. Also the exterior door I couldn’t get to lock on my way out.

    Clean, warm and comfortable.
Lovely and warm, clean and comfortable
Stairs very steep and slippery with no carpeting. Trips to the bathroom in the night could be hazardous.

    Good for a weekend stay.
The house had everything we needed! It was private, and the beds were super comfy. Obia, our host, was very attentive and sent us recommendations on local activities.
You can hear a bit of noise from the other units. Getting to the parking in the back was a bit confusing in the dark, and the AC units are VERY strong, so be careful of what settings you put them on.

We had a wonderful stay while we awaited the birth of our granddaughter.
The apartment was clean and bright. The air conditioning was wonderful which was so needed in Detroit's hot, humid summer weather. There was a washer and dryer and everything we needed. We had a great stay.

Do not stay here. The entire place smelled like smoke, the couch was gross and the entire place was dirty.
Nothing. This property was not at all like the listing described. Beautiful? More like dirty and disgusting.
When we arrived, the front door lock was broken, so a major safety concern in downtown Detroit. The unit itself smelled strongly of smoke. There was a missing couch cushion that the property tried to hide by covering the couch with a blanket. There were food crumbs and a straw under the blanket. There was pee or some other human fluid on the toilet seat. All of these things combined led us to having to find alternative accommodations for the weekend. We’ve tried to get a refund and the property owner has denied it. Do not stay here!
