Stay longer

I loved my space with the private bathroom. It also had a nice work area. The location was just right for the reason I traveled for an one night stay. I will definitely book again and stay longer it had a nice walking area I didn't get a chance to take advantage of. The host was friendly and welcoming. As a solo traveler I felt safe. Even the neighbors were nice with telling which side of the street to park. Overall it was a great experience.

Nice bathroom.

Scary balcony. 5 layers of an uncomfortable bed and still felt boards from 2 box springs. Too much furniture to get around in room. Less is better in this room

Great!

Alan is very helpful, and he tries his best. I found the place very cute and pleasant. I adored my room. My bed was comfy. Location is perfect. Even if you do not have a car, you can walk to the places to eat. I liked the no-shoes policy. They put on new slippers for people to go upstairs. They put many water bottles, which made me very happy because it's hard to find water immediately. I stayed in the room with a separate bathroom. I really liked it. Because of the AC, I got sick, but they helped me and took care of my problem, and they blocked the AC in my room. They provide the ingredients for breakfast, which is very logical; each breakfast is $5.

Kitchen pans were too old and full of scratches, and it is not healthy to use old Teflon/aluminum pans. There were no sponges in the kitchen, so I could not clean my dishes properly.

A very pleasant stay with a beautiful river view.

This property is right on the waterfront. The view from the room with balcony is fantastic, you look directly at the Detroit skyline. The room was comfortable, the temperature was always pleasantly cool, and we appreciated the shared microwave, refrigerator just outside the room. The host was extremely accommodating.

The bed sank a little in the middle. That's the only negative!

Clean, convenient, comfortable.

Had issues communicating with staff. Using messages wasn’t perfect and missed some until it was too late and tried to send one but it didn’t go through for some reason? We planned to buy the breakfasts but my message didn’t go through. I didn’t see that it didn’t go through until the next day and it was too late. Otherwise it’s a very good place to stay! I recommend 100%! The gentleman that was there was very nice but his English wasn’t great and we had a little trouble communicating but it all worked out!

Okay place for a short stay in a nice location

We stayed two nights in the family room with bath. The location is very good. Facilities are okay as are the rooms.

We really didn't get much sleep during our stay. It was too hot and we suggest having some small fans on hand for people to use when necessary. The mattress also should be replaced as it wasn't suitable for two adults. Finally, there was loud music from nearby resident late into the second night, and soon after that shut off, someone's alarm started sounding, which kept running almost into the morning.

It was a smooth stay in the middle of my trip.

I didn't take a breakfast because my trip was very early in the morning. There was coffee and tea at different locations in the house. The host provided very useful information about getting to my destination and was very friendly.

It is a very dirty place, it is not even halfway to the standards, they make people live in a garbage dump to make it cheap. I do not recommend it to anyone. The person renting it also smokes and does not speak English.

Cozy, clean, and peaceful riverside stay. perfect for resting between the U.S. and Canada

The place was very cozy and clean. The host thoughtfully provided tea bags, water, and even earplugs for free, making the stay very comfortable and convenient. The host also did their best to keep the place quiet, creating a perfect environment for rest. The house is located by the river, safe in the night, and I walked to the train station at sunrise in the next morning. The riverside scenery was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. It’s an excellent place to stay if you’re traveling to the U.S. or returning to Canada. I will definitely come back next time!

Small room with good views

Got that great view. The place is not far from the border crossing. The Wi-Fi connection was decent, there are also kettle and microwave available along with tea and coffee options, which is great. Shared bathroom is large and has big shower, I had no issue using that since it was free most of the time.

The parking approach is quite confusing to me, I guess you have to park on the street. Hard to talk to the owner and understand each other, though it wasn't an issue when communicating through the app. Place was clean mostly, but I found a huge hair strain on my pillow. There was no coat hangers to put my jacket in the room. It might get noisy as well, I could hear cars passing by, there is a jar of earplugs that you can use.

It was the most affordable option in Windsor. Checked in late, left very early.

The location is good, it's close to the border. The free parking was appreciated and I could check in late. This is basically like a hostel with a private room. Shared common areas and bathroom. I liked the extra blanket in the closet since the covers were thin.

Once I booked there were a lot of messages that went through my email. So many that I missed the owner asking me if I needed a parking spot. Once you open the emails you see several boxed sections of text, it's confusing to see the owner's current message and easy to miss correspondence. Once I asked about where to park the owner screenshot the question I missed and kept showing me that I missed his question about parking several times. I'm not sure what that was about, I just wanted the instruction for where to park. He eventually sent me a text with the instructions. There's a dog on the property that barked at me when I came in, and in the morning when I was leaving. This would have possibly woken other guests up. The kitchen is dirty and cluttered. There was a full sink of dirty dishes to wash. Cleanliness wasn't the greatest. My room had been sprayed with an air freshener. I had to open the window to air it out before going to sleep.

Exceptional place, amazing location and view, and a wonderful host

What an absolute treat to stay in this lovely, clean, warm and loving home. I can't say enough about how cozy, comfortable and safe I felt there. Alan is an absolute gem of a man who clearly loves making guests feel welcome. Every detail was so lovingly thought out. It is really hard to describe the experience of staying here, but within minutes of arriving I felt as if all of my stresses had dissolved completely. I loved the little basket of treats in my room, and how Alan had the bedside lamp switched on and a video of a crackling fireplace playing on the t.v. screen. The amenities just outside of the rooms included a fridge, microwave, coffee and tea supplies. And the big beautiful common area and kitchen downstairs were amazing.

No complaints. Everything was perfect.

A nice and neat family Bed and Breakfast facility very close to Windsor Riverfront

Very friendly hosts, met me halfway all the time. Location is perfect. The Detroit River is just across the road. The railway station and the city centre are just in 15 minutes on foot in different directions. Very good coffee. The products for breakfast were fresh and of good quality for the price. Thank you, Alan, and the whole family, for your hospitality and kindness.

Everything was fine at the accommodation facility. As a suggestion to the local government of Windsor, ON, please, arrange more road crossings for pedestrians in your city with signs and bright stripes on the road surface. It is not normal to walk for 200-300 m in a modern Canadian city to find a safe crossing.

The whole house was really cute and homey, and the bed is probably one of the most comfortable ones I have ever slept in! I also greatly appreciated the kindness of the host -- a pleasure to meet, and I hope we meet again!
