Perfectly functional.

The reason I chose the house, was due to the central location I needed for our activities. The home was clean and tidy. The bed may be the most comfortable of any bed of any rental. We did not spend a lot of time in the house. We really appreciated the cleanliness. The house is a short drive to the beach. I lived in the area for 15 years, so I knew my way around. The fridge was nice and large, very helpful for our needs.

There were several light bulbs out. No clock in the house except the one on the stove. The shower/bath combo may be plugged up as you stood in ankle deep water during your whole shower. It took 21 minutes for the tub to drain. No access to washer/dryer and no way to sweep the floor. Not a vast amount of amenities which probably keeps the price down. They charge $120 for a dog under 20lbs, which seems excessive as we usually spend $25 extra for a pet. There is a dehumidifier on the kitchen counter that cannot be removed. If you want to cook at all it would be difficult with no counter space to speak of. I don't dislike the fact that the home is in Winchester Bay, but if you are expecting it to be in Reedsport, it is not. I actually prefer Winchester Bay, but you do have to travel a couple of miles for restaurants etc. especially in the off season. We visited in late October. We did not use the hot tub or the bikes. There is a regular coffee pot not a keurig style for pods, (just for info.)

The stay was great because we had beautiful weather and the house was clean and comfortable.

Clean, comfortable. The king bed was very comfortable. Was well stocked. Close to our destination (the dock to do crabbing).

The hot tub was a great amenity feature but it was in the backyard and you had to go out the front door and go down the driveway to get to it. It also had something in it that foamed and made our eyes hurt. The kitchen stove was a flattop and the front burners wouldn’t work unless they were on high. We were trying to save some money by cooking at the house instead of going out to eat and ended up burning our breakfast. We did use them to cook our crabs that we caught.

We had a nice visit, and appreciated the use of the kitchenette.

The issue of obtaining the property keys was that the access code to the box was much too long, leading to repeated attempts because it "timed out" too quickly. It would seem much better to have, say, four or five numbers for the code. Also, the lock on the door was "sticky,' meaning that the use of the key involved repeated efforts to unlock the door. We have a vacation rental property, and we spent about $100 to have a nice coded entry lock placed on our vacation rental door. It's a good investment and allows guests to enter quickly, and particularly at night when visibility for the lock system is greatly reduced.
