A perfect New Year family getaway in a stunning location, made unforgettable by thoughtful hosts and special little touc

The location was absolutely gorgeous, peaceful countryside with beautiful surroundings that felt like a real escape. The property itself was cosy, spacious and perfect for a family stay, especially over New Year. What really made the stay special were the hosts. They were so welcoming and helpful, checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. When it snowed, they even left sleighs out for the children the next day, which was such a thoughtful and kind touch and made the weekend truly magical.

Honestly there was nothing we didn’t like, everything exceeded our expectations.

Picturesque and well equipped, ideal holiday stay

Very spacious and well equipped with everything you could need. Outdoor space perfect for relaxing evenings. The welcome basket of essentials and fresh eggs was a real bonus too. The whole property had a lovely vibe. Really good info provided by the hosts to help guests, best I’ve ever seen.

Very little to not like, if I had to be super picky the mattress in the second bedroom could be better and the master bedroom could accommodate a king sized bed. But what’s provided is good.

Lovely place to stay. Big enough to feel spacious but small enough to feel cosy. Lovely hosts who very kindly accommodated our requests for a cot and high chair, very clean, all amenities provided and a few added extras including bread, fresh eggs and jam. Very safe for our 19 month old baby, lovely garden space too.

We honestly didn’t dislike anything. We requested a cot which was kindly placed in the main bedroom for our arrival. We therefore decided to sleep in the smaller bedroom which was quite challenging in the heat. But that was our choice so as not to interrupt the little one.

Generous box of goodies on arrival. Decor gorgeous/tasteful including French navy and duck egg blue used around the apartment. Beautiful wallpaper chosen for the main bedroom and flooring for the bathroom. Coordinated bedding. High ceilings in main sitting area, due to it being initially converted from a coach house to a chapel by past owner of the main house. Garden room and small courtyard. Views into main garden from main bedroom. Great easy to light log burner! Terrific coffee machine.

Smaller bedroom. Double bed a tad small and short for longer person and mattress a tad unsuitable for sensitive backs.

Jenny and Darren were fantastic hosts, making our stay truly exceptional. The accommodation was incredibly comfortable and kid-friendly, complete with thoughtful touches like board games and kid-sized dinner plates. One of the highlights was playing hide-and-seek on the property—it created unforgettable memories for all of us. We absolutely loved the property and the warm, welcoming atmosphere of the surrounding area. We’ll definitely visit again!

Most welcoming hosts ever!

Very accommodating and friendly owners, perfect hosts and prepared some small things on arrival that makes so much difference! we had bread for breakfast milk jam and butter, coffee for the morning! They were so kind as to get us some cheese platter and biscuits as we drove 5 hours to get to wales and unfortunately didn’t have dinner sorted. thank you so so much for an amazing welcome! the place is very spacious enough for a family, place has a lovely history and character to it we really have nothing bad to say about the place! please note their hot water is actually hot water :)

Wonderful

The accommodation was clean, cosy with plenty of room....Our family consisting of 4 adults, 2 teenage girls and a 10 year old boy. We didn't get under each other's feet at all! The bathroom was spacious with a bath and shower. The owners were wonderful and accommodating, towels / bedding / coffee and tea, loaf of bread and Welsh cakes were left for us on arrival, yummy!!! With a beautiful bunch of wild flowers picked from their garden ....I don't have a bad word to say.....we will be going back xxxx. The local area is great, especially if you like walks. Some very picturesque places. The local pubs were great... Some nice restaurants. Good base for Llangollen / Ruthin and Wrexham xx

Beautiful accommodation. Excellent hosts. So many little extras so you feel at home and cared for. Great location for day trips. The sofa beds were fabulous and very comfy as were all the beds. Lovely and big. Fab shower and bath. Well heated. The garden was gorgeous

Comfortable beds, ample room, generously sized bathroom, ample hot water. Generous provisions on arrival including coffee, tea, coffee pods for machine. butter, bread, marmalade, honey and welsh cakes. Ample wood for wood-burning stove. Friendly and helpful hosts. Netflix available on television.

Apartment a little slow to warm up. Fan oven seemed to be hotter than selected temperature.
