Everything, there is nothing not to like. We received a warm welcome from Sally. If you like quirky, remote and cosy and cooking outdoors peace and quiet then we'd highly recommend a stay. We had a wonderful time also taking along our little dog, who had so much fun too. We will be returning customers. 🥰🥰🐾🐾

Overall still would go back again when me and my sister need to relax.

2nd time around. We loved the location, surrounded by nature and equipped with tennis balls and rackets. Lots of fire wood kept us warm and cosy, so we managed to spend a lot of time outside. Our dog loved running around, the place was surrounded with fence so was very safe for our dog.

Unfortunately the lights outside did not work so we had to walk around with our phone torches while we cooked. Some Mold as well on the utensils box that was kept underneath the sink.

Wasn’t aware that the kitchen meant outdoor cooking. Would have been nice for some milk to have been left with the tea and coffee making facilities. Don’t think it was good value for £135 for one night for 2 people.

Perfect in every way.

Wow is all I can say. The most magical UK stay I’ve ever experienced. Rural, in the absolute sticks and just perfect to get away from the daily hustle and bustle of city life. A real life fairy world! The yurt is cosy & warm and has everything you need. Will be back!

The location and the view. It is so cosy, warm and relaxing. Me and my sister had a really great time and will definitely come back to unwind after stressful days. Susan has been very good in communicating how to get to the property. But If you type the full address on google maps, it takes you to the right place.

Peaceful, private, perfect

It was incredibly remote. Directions were straight forward. The property was enclosed so my dog could run free.

A few things didn’t work, some of the lights, yurts a little closer to each other than ideal, only because other guests where quite loud in the night - not the fault of the host but unsettled the dog a little and did t get the best of nights rest

Making our stay an annual event!

3 of us stayed at the piggery for a 40th and had the best time! The cabin is beautiful and the surroundings even more so. Location is perfect and using three words helped us immensely. The private area was great with shelter, bbq, bathroom and fire pit even had a game of tennis. Our host was helpful and provided everything we needed. We are looking forward to staying here again.

Wonderful night away for my 40th birthday

The yurt was located in the most beautiful location, hidden away from it all. We had fabulous weather and a clear night, which allowed us to sit by the fire watching shooting stars. It was so well equipped with everything you could need. The beds are so comfortable and cosy. Overall, we had a fabulous night with wonderful memories as a family and would definitely return.

Once in a lifetime experience

The location was absolutely picturesque, deep into farmland and within a woods. It really felt like you were disconnected from everyone else and truly within nature. The Mongolian Yurt was quite big and had beautiful patterns all over it. Everything we needed was within in the Yurt and it was very comfortable and warm with the fireplace. The bbq worked soundly with no issues and the campfire area was perfect for a warm summer night roasting Marshmallows. The trails nearby held eye opening views and as you walked you would be greeted by friendly sheep and cows. The showers and the kitchen worked perfectly sound as well.

Trail getting there is quite bumpy and narrow however host already informed us of this so we were well prepared.

Brilliant experience! Highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful yurt! Nice and cosy, very clean with absolutely everything and more that you could possibly want! The beds were so comfortable so myself, my husband and our four children all had a wonderful two nights! The views are spectacular and the yurts are nicely secluded for that much needed escapism and peace and quiet! I loved that there’s a large BBQ outside and a fire pit which we used to cook and to toast marshmallows! It really added to the camping experience and delighted the children! The log burner in the yurt is also a very nice addition! Literally everything you could possibly need is included! All the bbq appliances, down to wood, firelight and even washing up liquid is included so massive thumbs up for the owner sally! I will definitely be booking another stay here as we all had a fantastic experience!

It’s a bit difficult driving all the way up to the Yurt location as the track is extremely bumpy so could possibly damage your tyres and we were initially stuck as a large herd of cows completely surrounded our car upon arrival! However another camper luckily came to our rescue and we had no issues whatsoever afterwards!

Quiet Rural Retreat

We love the rural essence of the property, the dog safe space and the fire pit. We didnt get to use the grill but it was all set up for us. As someone who doesn't love full on camping, I found it a perfect step up to glamping. The host was communicative and friendly. The cabin had all the necessities. We wanted to do some star gazing with a new telescope, somewhere quiet. This place was the perfect choice, just a shame the weather didnt clear up. We'd happily stay here again.

The compost toilet was a little difficult to get used to but that's just me, it was set up very well for what it is.

Beautiful getaway

This is a fantastic getaway in Wales. It is in a rural location but close to the nearby villages. A tennis court with all the equipment is a great activity. Highly recommended.

Peaceful and cozy

Fantastic quiet rural location which was just what the doctor ordered. It was so relaxing taking in the scenery and the farm animals in the fields. We really enjoyed our stay and would book again. We have listed the negative comments below but hopefully received as constructive to make future stays better.

The road up to the yurts is a rough farm track and quite steep in places. Although it was advised in the message received on the day of travel, this should be mentioned in the ad before booking as may be an issue with people with small/low cars. The crockery was also dirty. There was phone charging facilities via a car battery set up which was great but the car battery was not charged.

Excellent stay in the woods

Amazing location, extremely peaceful, quite and fresh air. The location is well within the woods and isolated. The pod was very nice too with all amenities available. Extra points for putting tennis rackets, games. Camp fires in the evening was the best part, including barbeque. Host was quite helpful. Highly recommended for any family looking for a decent night out in peace.

Not a negative but using the compost based toilet was bit different for us.

Perfection! Simply a beautiful place to stay.

The solitude and beauty of the place. The hosts were so helpful too. The yurt itself was immaculate and beautifully decorated and laid out. The outside space was a real bonus and it felt like a little piece of heaven just on the doorstep. Thank you very much indeed.

Amazing

Had an amazing stay in the yurt at Penbedw Estate. It was completely away from the chaos of towns and cities and absolutely amazing scenery. Stayed this weekend with my husband and 3 children (13 year old boy, 8 year old boy & 7year old Girl) They all loved exploring, climbing trees, camp fires in the evening roasting marshmallows and watching the sheep. They loved seeing the Pheasant when it came close to the yurt.

Didn’t like the fact that there was no electricity 😂. Toilet & kitchen was a bit far from the Yurt and the dirty kitchen needs a cover on the other side specially if the weather is not good, had a hard time cooking outside due to rain and cold weather.

Gem of a find.

Great little find. In the middle of nowhere. Peace and quiet. Enclosed garden so my dog didn’t escape. Didn’t need to bring a thing apart from my own food and drink. Not worried about the cold cabin as the bed had a heated blanket just in case. Close enough to plenty of walls and not too far of a drive to go for longer ones. My one thing I think it needed was a little table for drinks etc when sat in front of the fire but other than that I couldn’t fault it. Would happily stay here again no problem.

Peaceful and quiet location with very friendly hosts who were on hand if we needed any help with anything. Clean and tidy plus it was nice and warm with the heater on. Couldn't fault the cabin at all.

A tranquil stay, surrounded by nature

We stayed in the Piggery which was a lovely peaceful cabin. It was exactly what we needed for a break away, it was quiet and we connected with nature. Plenty of cosy space for the two of us and our pooch who had plenty of room to roam about outside the cabin whilst we enjoyed the fire. It was a great way to roll into 2025, very different to what we usually do! Would highly recommend.

A great find, amenities were great and tennis court a huge plus!

A great facility , everything was really well thought out. It was pouring with rain but we were still able to cook comfortably outside with everything you could need provided. The tennis court was a huge hit and the location felt so lovely and private.

Navigating getting the futon out around some of the other furniture was a bit tricky, but added to the fun!
