Classic country pub

The staff were super lovely, very friendly and welcoming. The food was lovely and well priced. The room had all we needed for 1 nights stay, the bathroom was recently refurbished, which was lovely! And a random side note that the toilets in the pub itself were by far the best pub toilets my partner and I have ever seen!!

The room itself needs a bit of an update to match the rest of the pub, which we thought was just lovely.

Lovely pub with rooms

Fabulous welcome and the staff were so friendly and happy. Dinner was superb as was breakfast.

Unfortunately the room was not so good, it needs a complete makeover and sadly spoiled our stay.

Fabulous stay !

Everything, we felt very welcome by the manager and the staff of the Globe inn,they were very freindly and nothing was too much trouble for them ,the Globe inn was beautiful and the rooms were very spacious and great value for money with a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning the manager and his father even kindly drove us back to the train station in the morning as there was 5 of us in two cars which was much appreciated. The location was great and we would 100% stay again another time.

Amazing stay

We stayed at the Globe whilst visiting Tiverton for a wedding. It was absolutely fabulous. From checking in to checking out nothing was too much trouble The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the best breakfast we have had whilst staying away and our evening meal was also delicious!! Fabulous owner and staff made our stay most enjoyable. We can't wait to visit again !!

Perfect for our one night stopover.

Exceptional breakfast. Great staff/service throughout. Easy location from the M5 and good parking facility. Bed comfy and clean

Bunk bed/family room........No blind in the bathroom felt a little 'exposing'. And the falling down blind in the main bedroom was definitely exposing!! :) :) though soon remedied along with much entertainment during fixing.

Great one night stay with the Grandsons

Very comfortable and clean. Nice meal in the evening and lovely breakfast (great to have fresh fruit selection too). Grandsons were happy with their bunk beds and plenty of room to move around. My bed was very comfortable. Staff were very welcoming.

Half way stay

Nice friendly staff and location was easy to get to for our overnight stay on the way to St Ives. Breakfast was very nice and plentiful

Stayed in Room 1 on the front. We booked an overnight stay so that we would set off for the remainder of our journey to St Ives the following morning feeling refreshed. Unfortunately, due to lots of road noise and the offloading of barrels and supplies to the pub at 7 in the morning, meant a poor night's sleep for our onward journey which defeated the object of arriving feeling fresh and ready. That said, we would still book here again for the same reason, but probably ask for a room at the back

the breakfast was very good and was cooked to a high standard.the other options was also to a high standard if you did not require a cooked breakfast.

our bathroom was a little dated but after talking to the owner they are undertaking renovations of the guest rooms starting next year.this would not put me off staying again.

Avoid unless you like expensive, poor quality rooms.

The staff and food was, in our opinion, the saviour of the Globe.

The decor and lack of attention to detail. The room felt grubby, un-loved, and void of any attention to detail. The cost of hundred a night was not justified considering the quality of the rooms fixtures and fittings. I try and support independent businesses but on this occasion I would have received better quality accommodation at the Premier Inn, Tiverton. Unless the Globe upgrade the room and corridors I will not stay again I could only post 4 photos showing the low, poor, quality room, but I have more

Warm welcoming staff who really did care

Could not fault anything with our evening here. From the very warm welcome to the very warm goodbye. The room was excellent even had a bath not just a shower. The food we had for our evening meal was cooked perfectly, served with a smile andva laugh. The staff serving food and bar staff could not do enough for you. And this was repeated at breakfast with all different staff but the same excellent service. Would highly recommend The Globe. Even the two big light fittings were impressive

Fabulous pub/ hotel and lovely location

Great location for a stop off on a long journey into Devon. Food and facilities are brilliant, especially for a youngster. The beer garden, canal and local park give plenty of options to stretch out after a few hours in the car. Staff are great and the room has everything needed.

A blind in the bathroom would be good due to being directly onto a main road with a huge sash window.

Friendliness of the staff and the breakfast was excellent. Lovely to be able to walk straight out onto the canal towpath at the back of the pub carpark.

Amazing Stay!

We stopped over here on our way to Cornwall! This is a lovely pub with friendly staff! Rooms are a little dated, but they are clean and beds so comfy, so it didn't bother us too much! Very good size tv! We went for a walk along the canal that is at the back of the pub and found a really good park! Really nice location! Evening meal was good, as was breakfast, so I would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back when heading to Cornwall!

They took us to the station and Made us sandwiches for our journey ,

The stairs to the rooms are very steep and awkward. There are 2 handrails to help climb them . Luggage was carried up by one of the staff , could not be better looked after .
