The location was perfect. We split our drive from Birmingham to Crantock Cornwall. Waterloo Cross is 5 mins off the motorway, so it made a perfect stop over.

Excellent food, both dinner (honest pub grub) and breakfast (lots of choice). The room was very spacious and comfortable.
The only complaint I had was nothing the hotel could do anything about, and that is the lack of public transport to connect to Tiverton Parkway. The bus routes are bizarre, seeming to avoid both train arrival times and the direct route to the hotel, and even getting a taxi on a Sunday afternoon was difficult and expensive. I ended up paying £25 to Frankies taxis who had to come out from Tiverton. Maybe the hotel could lobby the council and GWR to improve this.

The bed was super comfortable, the lady booking us in was pleasant.
The shower room needed work , the 1 bath towel provided for 2 of us was stained so did not have a shower, the girl on breakfast duty was not the most welcoming of people, the breakfast was not good, the sausage was burnt, the hash brown very greasy and the bacon seemed good quality but was extremely salty, also having to pay for a cup of tea on top of the cost of the breakfast was not good value. Other hotels offer a much better breakfast and cheaper.
