    I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I feel I have no choice after our experience. My family and I stayed at this hotel about a month ago. At check-in, it was obvious that we were two adults and two children, yet we were charged city tax for four adults. Since then, I have sent multiple emails and made several phone calls trying to get the overcharge refunded. More than six weeks later, I am still waiting. Every time I call, I get the same response: “The manager isn’t here, leave your number and they will call you back.” Unfortunately, that call never came. The hotel is close to the airport, which is convenient, but the surrounding area is not the nicest. We didn’t feel particularly comfortable walking around outside in the evenings. The room was also disappointing for a four-star hotel. There was no fridge, and although housekeeping changed our towels during our three-night stay, they never refilled the shower soap. In the end, we had to buy our own. What made us most uncomfortable was that it seemed as though someone from housekeeping was using my husband’s perfume. We first noticed it on day one. To be sure, we started leaving the bottle in exactly the same position before going out each morning. Every time we came back, it had clearly been moved. We can’t say for certain what happened, but it was enough to make us feel uneasy about leaving our belongings in the room. Overall, the lack of customer service after our stay has been the biggest disappointment. Mistakes can happen, but taking over a month and a half to refund an incorrect charge, while repeatedly promising callbacks that never happen, is simply unacceptable. For a hotel that advertises itself as four stars, there is definitely room for improvement. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I would not stay here again.
