Great location and a vary large apartment for a family of 5. Feels like a royal apartment. The high ceilings and large rooms are great. Beds were comfortable.

There is indeed some street noise that is audible at night from at least one of the rooms. We went in knowing this and brought ear plugs to help. One of the bathrooms has only a tub and sprayer and not a shower.

Location in old city. Everything was walking distance away and/or close to a bus line. Apt itself was a spacious , bright, remains of some old baptistery apt, that has been updated with modern amenities.The hosts were helpful and had good recommendations.

I suggest installing a shower curtain in the master bath and having 1-2 fans in the apt especially master bedroom that doesn’t have an air conditioner.

The location of the apartment is super convenient right in the heart of the town and near to many supermarkets and bakeries. We liked the size of the apartment and functionality of the space.

Only 1 dishwasher pod and laundry pod was provided during our 2 night stay there. When requested for more, we were told to buy our own pods. Please provide more especially if you want your dishes cleaned after we leave!! It also was a tad noisy downstairs due to the pub along that street on the first floor. Installing air conditioning in the bedroom closest to the street would have been more effective so guests can close the windows to block out the noise! Note that there are also no lifts and floors are rather high so it’s a consideration if you have ma y suitcases!

Overall, the place is great for staying in Avignon and exploring the city. Everything is right at hand: Palais des Papes and old town too. The flat is big and spacious with tall ceilings and exquisite decor.

However, there are a couple of things to keep in mind that can almost ruin your stay. Firstly, the walls are super thin. When you lie in your bed, it literally seems you’re lying out in the street as you can hear every single word people outdoors say. Right in the morning, you’ll be woken up at 7 am on a weekday. By saying that, I understand that the building is old and historical and there’s nothing the owners can do about it. Nevertheless, if you’re looking for a good sleep, it’s not the right place. This also means that you’ll hear everything your companions sharing the flat will do. Secondly, keep in mind that the flat is on the 2nd French floor (which is, in fact, the third). So, taking suitcases upstairs is quite difficult. Thirdly, the shower was stuck and didn’t drain the water. Every visit there became a chore. In fourth, the owner asks you to remove the sheets and collect the towels. I have nothing against it at all, but removing the sheets and discovering all the stains on the pillows is just unbearable. The was even blood. Hadn’t I removed the pillow cases, I wouldn’t have experienced all the shades of disgust. So, a kind piece of advice for the owners is to keep the bed clean if you ask your guests to do this job.
