First time that I've been glamping and I was very happy with my choice of accommodation for a few nights away in the Far North of Scotland. The pod (or snug) is one of 3 on site, all 3 are relatively new and face across the hillside towards the quiet rural town of Lairg. Location was perfect for what I wanted to do, especially as Lairg is at the "crossroads of the north". I was impressed with my pod the minute I opened the door - it was clean and comfortable. The kitchenette area of the pod has everything you could need - small, curvy microwave oven, a good sized fridge/freezer, single gas hob and sink. Plenty of cutlery and crockery too. Making my own meals in "Ben Hee" was easy and pleasant. Bathroom is quite generous in size - toilet, small sink and wet floor shower, clean towels provided. Plenty of elbow room. Central heating provided by way of Propane gas boiler. Just one thing no one can do anything about and that was the unpredictable Highland weather. I usually travel to Highland Scotland in mid-September and can be blessed with fine sunny weather, but this time it was largely wet and windy yet I was glad of the warmth and cosy feeling of my pod. But...a bit of wind and rain won't deter me from returning! (Being from Lancashire, quite familiar with wind and rain as it is). I didn't get to meet the owner (Donald) on this occasion, but we texted via Booking.com, which was friendly and seamless. Will be back again as time allows in the non too distant future as plenty of things for me to see and do as always on my road trips to the Highlands.

What a surprise! We expected basic accommodation but the pod was immaculately fitted-out and equipped down to the finest detail with everything we could need. Comfortable pull-out bed, cosy and warm, and even a pint of milk to get us started, from our friendly host Donald. Great location for walks and a truly astonishing view from our verandah.
