The pod was clean. However, on the day i got there (4th), I was informed that there was no electricity and we had to stay without electricity untill 9.00 pm on 5th Aug. I think pod was a bit overcharged with the facilities that I got.

This was a lovely little hut to stay in for a few nights. One double bed and then a pull out sofa bed. We didn't try the sofa bed, but the double was comfortable. The shower was great, and the towels provided were more than adequate. I didnt find the hair dryer until we were ready to leave. Its in a box under the bed. This is more suitable for a couple on their own, i think it would be hard to have young children in the hut. They are not equipped for toddlers. The microwave is at a hight that a child could easily reach. The smoke alarm goes off every time the toaster is used, but at least it works. The views were not the worst ive had to put up with, and the fact that it is a safe clean space to stay more than made up for having to look at a petrol station the whole time we were there. My emails were answered quickly and the information given was very good. I would happily go back.

On NC500, super clean and comfy place. Small kitchen with cutlery, kettle, sink, fridge, etc. No microwave or cooker/hob, place is made of wood so I guess that’s the safety thing. We had amazing stay, family of 3. Sofa bed is comfy as well.

This is a really good centre for exploring central Sutherland, and a lovely quiet place to stay! We watched the seals on the sandbanks at Loch Fleet, and went up the tiny road to Loch Buidhe, and then across country to Croick, a more gentle and scenic valley! We love Dornoch, in its honey-coloured stone, with all the flowers around.

Stayed here for 2 nights and both were great! The hut is well looked after and in good condition. The bed was very comfortable too, always a bonus. The underfloor heating is great for keeping your feet warm. To top it all off the shower was excellent and hot, a great start to the day. The hut is next to a main road, but noise isn't an issue. The communication was great from the hosts. Will not hesitate to stay again. Thanks!

On arrival our pod key was in a keybox outside of the pod. Prior to arrival we received an Email from the owner telling us the pod we were in and how to get the key (Inc the key code). The pod itself was spotless. It has WiFi, which was a good enough speed for streaming Netflix and surfing the web, it had a TV, sofa, small fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and little cupboard with crockery and cutlery. Also of course a comfortable double bed and spacious (for the size of the pod) en suite. It has a small private decked area at the back furnished with a couple of chairs and a table for sitting out. It's about 2.5km walk (or drive) from Dornoch centre which has plenty quaint pubs, cafes and museums. On check out you simply pop the key back in the keybox. In times of covid I felt extremely safe stating here. If you do need anything just ring the mobile number provided and the owners, who are very helpful will get right on it.

Accommodation was clean and well maintained. The pod is well insulated, gathers the heat during the day and has underfloor heating so is easy to keep warm at night. Quite spacious inside, although getting in to bed can be a tricky climb up from the bottom (walled on either side).Great location next to the main road for heading North (2hrs to John O Groats) or South (1.5hrs to Loch Ness).Had a great Hack at Hollingwells Equestrian, just 20 min drive away.
