Buddy/Hiking - Trip to the highlands with my son

The position in the nature and away from all the rush was perfect for us. In the mobile home was everything you need for self - catering. Also you can store a lot if needed for all your belongings. Two bedrooms (single - double) were perfect for us. We wanted to do a lot of hiking with a lot of places around you can do it ideal. Tain is just 10 minutes drive away where all the food supermarkets (Lidl, Tesco, Asda) are, you needed. And when you need the rush of a city, Inverness is just an hour drive away. Julie and Steve are the perfect hosts. They are helpful with everything you want or need. We enjoyed our stay a lot and won't be the last time to stay here.

Nothing to complain about. The road - which is more like a path - to the domicile is uneven so you have to drive very carefully and slow. And when you do, no problem.

Amazing would absolutely recommend and would book again

Had the most amazing week here at Clashmore Wood. The accommodation was spotless and had everything we needed. Julie and Steve and their dog George couldn’t have been more welcoming. A true dog friendly experience our 2 dogs loved it as much as we did. Off lead walking in field and Forrest on our doorstep. The caravan is next to the owners house but it never felt intrusive. Great base to explore the area. Dornoch is a beautiful town. Most places are dog friendly and nearly all that we visited have provided our 2 with a dog biscuit. Would 100% recommend and would def book again.

Rural, refreshing, and slightly luxurious.

The location was beautiful - We were surrounded by green fields and fresh air. The property was clean, well-stocked, and comfy. We especially liked the heated bathroom-floor and the large ice cubes ready for us in the freezer.

Perfect country retreat, top quality.

The quality of the fixtures and fittings exceeded our expectations. The kitchen had everything we needed and lots of luxury extras. Toiletries were of a high standard. Bedding was top notch. Julie our host had excellent comms and was lovely. The location was ideal, set in woodland, a real escape. It was a real home from home!

Lovely apartment set in a secluded area.

Clashmore Wood is set in a very secluded area but still close to the centre of Dornoch. The appartment is very well appointed, decorated and comfortable. Julie is a lovely host and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely recommend Clashmore Wood.

Lovely relaxing stay in a beautiful property.

Beautiful property in a lovely area. Had all the facilities needed and was very clean. Lovely balcony and view, was able to do a short walk in the woods one evening. Within easy driving distance of Dornoch which is a lovely little town with good choice of eating places Very friendly owners

Clashmore, peace and tranquility abound.

Such a beautiful garden apartment, spotlessly clean and perfectly equipped. We had such a lovely time watching the wildlife in the garden and surrounding field. We even spotted a fox doing his rounds in the morning. Although it's in a wonderful secluded area, there is plenty to do and see within a few miles radius, gorgeous beaches, and amazing woodland walks to keep the dog happy.

There really was not anything to dislike. Would highly recommend.

The accommodation was absolutely lovely. The location was perfect, close enough to facilities, but in a spot that is so beautiful and quiet, with surrounding areas to walk in. Everything you require for the stay is available, and the lovely touch of the chocolates , along with all the main essentials needed was lovely. Couldn't ask for anything more. We loved it Thankyou

Beautiful place

The caravan was clean and well kept. It is dog friendly and in a great place, just off the A9 so perfect for NC500. There are woods and fields around the caravan so easy walking for the dogs. They also loved watching the pheasants from the caravan window. Julie and Steve were fantastic - very friendly and helpful. The resident dog George was gorgeous and also very friendly! Would definitely stay here again

Great stay in a cosy little caravan

Hosts were exceptionally friendly and gave us great travel advice and provided us with maps and hints for hikes. The caravan had a fully functional kitchen that we just had to use as we got a bit tired of eating out every day. I loved the cosy gas fireplace. It has a large TV and generously Netflix and Prime were provided for nice evening entertainment. The caravan was spacious and felt like a cute little house.

Just two small hints to consider: The Scottish summer surprised us with very cold temperatures below 10°C during the night. As it is a caravan and not a house, it gets fairly cold inside as well. Further, we got that info up front that the driveway is a gravel road. Just make sure to have that in mind when you rent a car and drive slowly.

Welcoming and homely experience of a very high standard.

The best was so comfortable and the pillows were just excellent. Hosts were both friendly and welcoming. Bedroom was a really good size and guest sitting room was also lovely. Hosts went to a lot of trouble to provide us with the little extras to make our stay very comfortable.

Whilst the bathroom was for our sole use only and was also so clean with all amenities of a very high standard provided, I would have preferred an ensuite as part of our room. Having said this, this in no way distracts from our overall high regard for this accomodation . I would recommend it to anyone.

Blessed with the best.

Every single thing was just perfect, we loved our stay, couple are so friendly and very helpful. Biggest highlight is George the dog. The views are breathtaking and I am so happy I chose the right place to stay. We cant wait to stay again.

Only thing thats wrong is being so far away and enticing me to move in ha ha!

The remoteness of the caravan, the cleanliness, and the bed was the most comfortable I've ever stayed in.

The fridge could have been colder but as I only stayed for a couple of days it didn't really matter too much.
