I really liked the grounds and the people

The Old Farmhouse Annex is a wonderful wee place to stay if you want to explore Monaghan, Cavan, Fermanagh, Sligo or other nearby counties. We came down as a couple for a 2 night stay from the North of Ireland to have a quiet time in the countryside and explore Sligo. Before we came, the host, Colette, was in communication regularly and ensured we could message her if we needed anything. Unfortunately we didn’t get speaking to her in person but her husband Paul made sure to see us off and was lovely! The property itself has everything you need for a short or medium term stay. It was absolutely immaculate, and we both remarked it was probably the best equipped location we’ve stayed in from Booking.com. As you come in, there’s plenty of space to park a car of any size and it’s safe and secure in a gated property with CCTV. Checking in and gaining access was really easy. The property is a converted farmhouse outbuilding on the hosts’ land but you have plenty of privacy. I had specifically booked somewhere we could spend a quiet night in and cook a meal. The kitchen is where this property really stood out - it was fully equipped with an oven, hob, microwave and even a nespresso coffee machine. There were all the utensils, bowls and plates and cutlery you would need. A dishwasher made cleaning up even easier, and there were free coffee pods, plenty different types of tea to enjoy. The sofa was very comfortable and we were able to log into Netflix and enjoy a bit of TV to unwind. There were also lovely little cup holders attached to the sofa which was cool! The bed was so so comfortable and spacious. We noticed there were plenty of blankets and thicker duvets if it was a Winter stay, and there was good heating. We also really appreciated the Bedside fan on a warm evening, in fact with this property it is the little things you appreciate.

Genuinely nothing wrong with the property! Only thing we would have loved were 2 steak knives for our meal, but that’s pedantics.

Absolutely beautiful place. Top quality comfort and attention to detail the area is so quiet..... only birds can be heard Singing . The annex is beside the owners house so we had access to their beautiful gardens also.

Just would like to point out that it is in the countryside So a drive to get anywhere
