Overall, we had a pleasant stay despite a few minor issues.

The location of the property was great. And it was very clean on arrival. It served the purpose of our visit to see my family.

As we was in the room called the beacon it was facing the road. This made it very noisy. In addition to the vertical blinds, the rooms could ideally do with curtains or a roller blind to block out more of the light. Inspection of the property could’ve been better before our arrival as the toilet seat was disattached and laid down the side. However, this was later rectified once it was mentioned. thank you for that. The freezer compartment door seal is not sealing properly which is why the freezer compartment was quite iced up and frosty. Room description before purchase could do with being better described . As on arrival, we had no private entrance. our door was on a footpath on the main road. The facilities description stated there was a tumble dryer which there wasn’t, tea/ coffee maker was also stated in the list which wasn’t there. This however did not ruin our stay but slightly disappointed with the above.

Good

Very handy parking and a nice layout with the living room, kitchen and bedrooms off each side. Well equipped kitchen with ironing board, hairdryer and even a room fan. Nice decor and clean fresh bedding. Showers worked well. Good communication and no in-your-face rules all over the place! Seemed to have addressed every complaint in previous reviews.

The bathrooms were a little bit cramped - a good use of space but you did feel a bit like you’re banging your elbows on everything. A bath mat would be a good addition. Our main issue was noise from the neighbours above, which isn’t the owner’s fault and likely temporary but there were people laughing and talking until 5am, which meant my kid kept waking up. If you’re used to sharing walls or ceiling then it probably wouldn’t be as much of an issue. Couldn’t even knock on their door as they’re behind a separate security door. Terrestrial TV signal would be handy too as we couldn’t seem to stream anything we logged into.

Enjoyable Stay at 99 Meadow Lane

The property was spacious, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with a wide array of condiments which was a nice touch. There was plenty of crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and baking trays which was very welcome. The location worked well for us and it was close to town and the train station. The staff at Sanctuary were very responsive.

The one thing was that we paid £50 for cleaning, but the cleaners never showed up, despite us asking after it. Quite unhappy about that.

Pleasant

It was clean, the beds were comfortable. Good to have 2 shower rooms. The agent was pleasant and helpful on the phone.

It was difficult to get into the property, I had to call for an explanation on how to open the door as it has a security lock. The reason for the lock was it opened directly on to a busy street. We had to keep the curtains drawn, so no natural light. Was not as nice as the photos on the booking site.

Unfortunately after a long drive from Scotland we could not get into property as we were given wrong key box number. Good thing was after calling it was resolved quickly.

Disappointing stay

The bed linen was nice and fresh, and the sofa was big and comfy

Ants in bedroom and ensuite. Not as clean as would expect. Too hot and no instructions to work boiler. 1 shower not working. 1 side table broken.

lovely and responsive staff but not really well kept apartment.

very responsive staff. spacious.

the master bedroom has a gas water heater in the room fully exposed! it went off each time someone in the building used the water heater. it was noisy and unpleasant to look at laying in your bed. the blinds had sections missing. side table by the sofa was broken. only two hanger in the apartment. neither of the two pots had lids. there were only 3 forks but plenty of spoons. only two wine glasses (in two different sizes). barely any toilet paper was left on the rolls in both toilets. the bins didn’t have bin bags. but a full rack of 12 herbs and a bottle of oil was a nice touch. just salt and pepper missing…

La campana extractora no funcionava i ens sonava la alarma cada cop que fèiem una mica de fum cuinant, havíem d’obrir la porta.

Gute Lage, guter Wohnungsschnitt mit ein paar Mängeln

Die Wohnung ist schön eingeteilt, 2 Badezimmer waren sehr praktisch, der Kontakt zu de Vermittlung war sehr gut, die Küche ist sogar mit Ölen, Gewürzen, Waschmaschinenpods ausgestattet.

Die Badezimmerfugen gehören überarbeitet, Schimmelbildung in der Dusche, Lüftung ging nur in einem Bad.
