Shalom bungalow Falcarragh Mountain View Oldtown

The house really suited the 3 of us for a rest day on our bike tour of donegal - the rooms were cosy, had everything we needed and lovely views to Muckish Mountain and Mount Errigal. Communication with the host was quick and easy and very friendly. Having basics in the kitchen like butter, oil, salt and pepper is very useful for bike tourers who would rather not be carrying that everywhere or having to buy it at every stay - so much appreciated!

Happy to stay in an older or more dated property while on holidays - but thought it was a little bit pricey for what it was. I also wasn't expecting another holiday property out the back in what i guess was a converted garage. No major issue, but it's driveway being the back garden of the house did make it feel a little less private than we were expecting from an 'away from town' house.

Wir haben als Familie auf unserer Irlandrundreise nach einem Besuch im Glenveagh Nationalpark für eine Nacht in diesem traditionellen Ferienhaus übernachtet und haben uns wohlgefühlt. Es ist alles da, was man benötigt, incl. Waschmaschine und Trockner. Das Haus und die komplette Einrichtung sind älter, aber sauber. Man hat sehr viel Platz und die Betten sind bequem. Hervorzuheben ist die ruhige Lage. Von der unmittelbaren Umgebung konnten wir leider nichts erkunden. Aber es inspiriert hier auch paar Tage länger zu bleiben. Die Vermieterin Carhy hat alle wichtigen Info‘s übermittelt. Mit dem Eircode findet man das Haus problemlos in Google Maps.

Wenn man das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis betrachtet ist alles ok. Bei nur einer Übernachtung schaue ich nicht in alle Ecken und Schränke, für meinen Eindruck sind die negativen Bewertungen unbegründet.

Me and my 3 young children stayed here for a week. We had a great time at the cottage. It was comfortable and homely. It had everything I needed, including a washing machine and a tumble dryer. It was close to Falcarragh if you’re driving and easy enough to find using the directions and the eircode. Nice garden to sit in in the evening as well. Contact with Cathy was excellent as and when needed. Would definitely come back.

Nothing. Some reviews talk about it not being clean, but it’s a rustic old Irish house, it’s just older, not dirty.
