Absolutely fab place to stay

Absolutely fantastic experience, has everything you need plus. Giles is a wonderful host, he lives next door on the barge, so is available for anything, but far enough for you to have your own privacy.

For some reason in France you are given huge square pillows that give you a neck ache, I would prefer normal oblong pillows, but not a game changer.

Since it's a boat you have steep and narrow stairs, round windows and generally tight quarters. Probably not very comfortable for tall people. But if you don't mind that, the accomodation is really something special. Also, the host is really friendly and helpful. And you are surrounded by nature (fish, heron,...).

Great stay. In unique accommodation .

Beautiful , modern decor inside , making full use of the space . Compact but tastefully presented . Everything you need to stay was provided . Quiet location , within a pleasant stroll along the canal into the centre . Host was friendly and very helpful .

It was a lovely stay on a beautiful boat.

We loved that it was so clean and modern. The place was on a perfect distance from the centre.

Nothing we can think of. The only thing that was inconvenient was that we are both 190 cm and we could not stand everywhere straight up.

Living in the canal

The accomodation, as expected, is inside three levels of a "péniche", a local barge, stabilized on the water. Everything is restored with a vintage touch. You can experience the same pro and cons of a residence inside a canal.

SUPER EXPERIENCE A METZ SUR L'EAU

accueil chaleureux de Gilles, bons tuyaux pour les visites et les restos, emplacement de la péniche à 12 minutes à pieds du centre le long du fleuve, très chouette allers et retours dans cet environnement péniche très très bien aménagée et agencée, mercis particuliers pour les attentions café, thé, confitures et épices etc, parking gratuit devant

Super séjour

Nous avons passé une très bonne nuit sur cette péniche. Mon fils a adoré dormir sur un vrai bateau. Jolie décoration, bonne douche, l'endroit est joli et pratique. Près du centre ville, parking à coté et tout près de l'autoroute (que l'on entend pas du tout). Endroit calme. Biensur c'est une péniche, alors c'est pas haut de plafond et la salle de bain n'est pas grande, mais cela nous a pas du tout gêné.

Le matelas du lit était trop dur pour moi, mais c'est une question d'habitude.

Schöne Unterkunft. Ist was Besonderes, auf dem Hausboot zu schlafen. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Sogar zum kochen. Liebevoll eingerichtet von Gilles. Check-In und Check-Out perfekt.

Für uns gar kein Problem - aber Personen größer 180 cm würden sich schwer tun.

Quel grand plaisir, surtout après une longue route, de dormir, au calme, chez Gilles, sur sa péniche! Et quel accueil ! Tout est parfaitement expliqué et c’est nécessaire dans ce lieu si atypique ! Et aussi des conseils très utiles ! Merci infiniment à Gilles!

Originelle Unterkunft - tolle Übernachtungsmöglichkeit!

Die Lage im Grünen ist reizvoll und bietet viele Gelegenheiten für Spaziergänge. Das Zentrum von Metz ist auch gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Giles hat das Boot sehr geschmackvoll und praktisch eingerichtet, es fehlt an nichts. Wir durften auch unsere Hündin mitnehmen. Es empfiehlt sich, für Verpflegung und Getränke vorzusorgen.

Die Treppenleitern sind etwas steil und könnten für ältere Menschen und Hunde eine Herausforderung sein.

Séjour Exceptionnel et original en pleine nature sur la Moselle

Gentillesse et accueil physique de notre hôte Gilles passionné. Endroit et appartement atypique, au calme. Péniche très bien équipée et décorée avec goût. On se sent comme à la maison ! Gilles a pensé à mettre à disposition de ses invités, tous les produits de premières nécessités pour passer un agréable séjour sans besoin d'aller faire la corvée des courses à la supérette du coin à notre arrivée. très belle terrasse pour prendre ses repas à l'extérieur. Tout était parfait! De plus, nous avons trouvé Metz magnifique et très animée : en été, spectacles son et lumière sur plan d'eau et sur la façade cathédrale, guinguettes en ville, plage éphémère (Metz plage), ....

La nature en ville, c'est idéal !

Le cadre est très agréable et calme. Il n'y a aucun bruit : pour dormir et se reposer, c'est parfait ! Le logement est très propre et bien entretenu. Gilles, le propriétaire habite aussi sur la péniche et nous a réservé un excellent accueil.

Kleines Abenteuer, es war schön

Sehr idyllisch, auf kleinen Raum alles was man für einen Kurztrip braucht. Hat uns gut gefallen. Aber : Steile Treppen nichts für alte Hunde- die muss man tragen. Netter Vermieter, unkompliziert 😘 Stadt fußläufig gut zu erreichen.

Schöne außergewöhnliche Ferienwohnung

Es war alles perfekt. Super vorbereitet für uns als Familie, herzlich, sauber. Die Lage ist perfekt: man spaziert 20 Minuten in die City, hat aber auch einen Supermarkt und kleine Lokale in 5 Minuten Fußweg. Es ist leise und entspannt. Das Boot hat alles und mehr, was man braucht.
