It’s beautiful and close to Floral Village and Kinrin Lake. Dinner is delicious and very impressive!
Breakfast seems short staff working and soup is cold.

Staff are very nice
The tatami had a very old and used smell to it. Even with clean sheets the dirty smell of prior users can still be detected when I slept in the tatami which was unpleasant.

The room/cottage was big, landscaping was nice. Indoor onsen in room was large. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was near to the attractions such as kinrin lake.
1) There were cobwebs in the room at the walls/ door mantles and a lot of dust on the aircon vent and behind / in between the beds. Would not expect this for the price we paid. The hotel did provided 2 air purifiers in the room. The bathroom area and wooden floor were freezing (the stay took place in winter). 2) Some parts of the room looked quite dated especially the wooden cupboards, various marks on the walls etc 3) The food was average in quality. Definitely not comparable to the other ryokans we have stayed at before (eg Loquat and Ochiairo in Izu) 4) We provided dietary restrictions (allergies) beforehand and at check in but the restaurant didn’t fully take note of them and had to be reminded when the first dish was served. This happened for 2 consecutive dinners. (Staff were apologetic)
