A wonderful stay, beautifully maintained with a strong sense of history and character. The private onsen in the room was a standout feature and made the experience particularly memorable.
The WiFi was unavailable half way during our stay, which was a minor inconvenience. We also noticed the onsen temperature was slightly inconsistent, still comfortable, but not as warm as on the first day, possibly due to some cooler water coming through. Overall, still an enjoyable experience.

I booked with confidence through other reviews that I would be taken care of here and I absolutely was. I hardly spoke any Japanese but communication was not an issue at all! The care I received and colorful personalities of the staff I was able to meet is unforgettable. The private onsen was amazing, the staff were professional and reassuring, meal times were timely and beyond what I imagined. I will never forget the lovely ladies who wished me well with omamori upon my departure!

Receptionist was downright hostile to me. Didn’t smile or greet me or say goodbye or thank you.
