Dandelion Apartments Baznīcas

We spent 5 wonderful nights in this apartment and our experience was excellent from start to finish. The apartment was exactly as described in the listing – which is always reassuring. We were particularly impressed by the fact that all the kitchen utensils and the shower amenities were brand new; it made our stay very comfortable. The apartment was spotlessly clean upon our arrival, and we found it to be very quiet, ensuring restful nights. The location is truly strategic, with easy access to public transport and key attractions.

Huoneisto on kellarikerroksessa ja ovi sekä ikkunat ovat suoraan kadulle. Liikenteen melu ja muut kadunäänet kuuluvat huoneistoon varsinkin viikonloppuna, kun ihmiset juhlivat myöhään. Suositten hyviä korvatulppia - ainakin jos nukut sohvalla.

I stayed at the apartment for 5 nights and it definitely served the purpose. It is spacious, well-appointed with good furniture and in an EXCELLENT location, walking distance to the city centre, night clubs and points of interests. The apartment is in a half-basement, so doesn't get too much light, but is mostly quiet and cozy.

The biggest fault is the space at the entrance into the apartment. It looks very shady and derelict and I would strongly urge the owners to invest into fixing this. It definitely leaves a feeling that you're in the wrong place. Then the apartment itself is nice, but that first impression is bad. Also, for longer stays, equip the apartment with paper towels, a few instant coffees, some oil, salt and pepper. These things cost next to nothing but will make a difference to an international traveler.

This location was perfect for us – about two blocks from our son’s apartment. The location is relatively quiet and the choice of curtains blackout the summer sun while sleeping. We enjoyed the small wardrobe with a drawer and shelves included. The portable heaters and fan kept the space at a good temperature during our summer stay (and it’s been an unusually cool summer). All the rooms were more than adequate size the kitchen space had everything we needed except a cookie sheet!! There is a drop off area as you come in the door for shoes, jackets, and umbrella with a mirror available. We loved the door lock—very easy to use. The apartment location is outstanding—so many good places to eat nearby and the tram or taxi will take you into Old Town very quickly. There is so much to see and learn about the culture: We went to four concerts, their summer Song and Dance Festival, which was amazingly beautiful, with parade included, the Riga rise, War Museum, Riga Doma, and this was our 8th visit to Riga! Last, but certainly not least, the Dandelion management was immediately responsive and so helpful to us. We look forward to coming back to this location on our next stay! Highly recommend it!!

The entrance could be updated and made a bit safer with a handrail.
