Everything was amazing. Super kind and helpful staff, best breakfast in a hotel I’ve ever had, perfect little town.

A characterful older hotel that feels warm and welcoming. The location, service, and food are all excellent. Breakfast is a real standout — fresh, local ingredients that go well beyond the typical hotel spread.

The bathroom could use some updating — the shower lacks a tray, there are no power outlets, and the lighting is a bit dim. Minor things, but worth knowing given the otherwise standard.

The people of Fleur de Lys are really nice, very kind and attentive. The hotel is in the middle of Gruyère. There was a little living room where you could have coffee any time of the day and read.

The hotel is quite old. When we arrived, we were initially assigned a room with mold covering the bathroom ceiling. After pointing it out, the staff promptly moved us to a different room. However, the hotel itself is quite dated. We would not recommend dining at the restaurant, and breakfast was also rather underwhelming. While the staff were very kind and helpful, the food options were limited and of mediocre quality. The fresh fruit, in particular, seemed to have been previously frozen and then thawed.
