A super relax hotel

This small hotel had a relax feel and although situated on the main street, noise level wasn't too bad. The room was large and well equipped with a TV, mini fridge and a kettle. The onsite restaurant provide very good food and great service from their young waitering staff. The onsite dive centre, Bambu Divers, provided good service and diving. All dives were away from the hotel, transported to local boats moored. I did 3 days diving, each was varied. I saw 3 giant mantas, 3 sharks, turtles and great macro dives. I would recommend this small and friendly hotel.

Lovely staff and great view beach side. Wacky Jacky cafe across the road has wonderful food and charming staff.

For me the bed was very hard, I folded up the duvet and placed under the sheet to make it possible to sleep. The bathroom was adequate but very smelly.

A trusted old accomodation offer in the main street. Been staying here at various times over 30 yrs. Still the best value for money in C.D. Staff are like family, always a smile, very caring customer comfort attitude from all. Would recommend to any wanting home like stay. Very convenient to Restos, convenience stores and bars. e

Candidasa is a beautiful little village we have visited many times. Dont'stay at Pondok Bambu.

Rooms were clean, bed was comfy, breakfast was great, & the kitchen / dining staff excellent.

Our friends, my wife & I had two rooms side by side & we both had a substantial amount of money stolen from our safe which is where our money was always kept. We have no doubt the money was stolen & the amount of Australian dollars stolen was the same from both rooms. Pondok Bambu staff were the only people with access to the rooms and the safe, coincidentally cleaning our rooms at the start of our breakfast with one 'cleaning' and the other waiting on the balcony???

Great diving resort for a chill boys trip.

Amazing location, great view of the water. Friendly staff. Clean grounds. Best part of staying here is the dive center is within at the accomodation. They are a very well run scuba center. Felt very safe and accommodated by all staff and instructors.

Thin mattress on beds. Rooms were worn and outdated. They were clean however overdue for work/revamp, especially the bathroom. Very little natural lighting. Not a room you want to spend time in, only good for sleeping once you’re very tired.

A gorgeous little hotel that is so quiet and relaxing inside but outside is everything you need - shops, bars, restaurants etc. Beautiful views from the pool and restaurant area. Lovely staff - nothing is too much trouble.

Location is good to shops, restaurants etc, access to a sandy beach, staff friendly & helpful.

No complaints about the breakfast, it was adequate & well presented, enough to start your day & more than what we would eat at home for breafast.

The wardrobe was smelly e.g musty smell, then we noticed two mouldy & stained pillows on the shelf. Holes in the ceiling, we were assured that nothing would come through, the roof would not leak if it rained. The room really lets the property down, it needs updating/walls need painting, a better quality mattress on the bed, better linen, bathroom towels & pool towels.

Breakfast was nice, fresh tasty eggs with bacon, bubur ayam or fried noodles or fried rice. Location excellent, overlooking the sea and next to the pool. Nice breeze.

Sheets had been washed in a laundry with too much perfumed fabric softener.

Beautiful serene hotel on the beach

Pondok Bambu is a lovely hotel set right on the beach in Candidasa. Whilst very casual it is extremely good value for money. It is located only a 5 minute walk from the Lotus Lagoon and directly opposite the popular Crazy Kangaroo bar and restaurant (owned by the same owner). The rooms are very nice and pillows amazing. The bathroom is huge with plenty of hot water. Very well air conditioned and a fridge in the room, it has all you need. Set amongst butterfly filled gardens it is a lovely setting. A set menu Breakfast is served overlooking the water and the neighbouring islands in a beachside / pool side locale. The quality of the food, breakfast and lunch is excellent as it is a similar menu to Crazy Kangaroo. The beach is coral filled and can maybe be swam in but looks good for snorkelling, with turtles swimming up to the shore at night. Anyhow great value and I would thoroughly recommend.

Beliggenheden lige ud til havet. Fantastisk udsigt til Nusa Penida og til de små øer lige ud for. Rene og pæne værelser og velholdt have og poolområde. Søde og hjælpsomme personaler.

Vi havde de sidste værelse op mod hovedgaden, derfor var der en del motorlarm og os.

Leuke omgeving, matig verblijf

De locatie was goed en centraal gelegen. Er zijn verschillende faciliteiten, zoals restaurants, supermarkten en lokale taxichauffeurs in de straat te vinden. Het zwembad was lekker warm en de stoelen eromheen lagen fijn. De binnentuin maakte het geheel gezellig ook omdat je voor de bungalow kon gaan zitten. De was werd goed gedaan en gestreken dezelfde avond teruggeleverd.

De badkamer was echt te gedateerd en daarom niet meer schoon te noemen. De vochtplekken waren zeer zichtbaar en het vochtprobleem werd eigenlijk alleen verbloemd door een luchtverfrisser. De kakkerlak die we levend aantroffen in de badkamer was hier een duidelijk voorbeeld van. Het personeel in het restaurant van het resort vonden wij ongeïnteresseerd en gemaakt beleefd. Het ontbijt is erg karig te noemen. De foto's op Booking.com komen niet overeen met de werkelijkheid. Er zijn volgens het menu verschillende bijgerechten, maar die zijn 'vandaag niet voorradig' en blijven dit ook. Wij vinden het persoonlijk ook niet prettig dat alles op rekening gaat, zodat je voor verrassingen kan komen te staan.

Geweldig en fijn gehad

We hebben met twee families een fantastische tijd gehad bij Resort Pondok Bambu in het prachtige plaatsje Candidasa. Vanaf het eerste moment voelden we ons ontzettend welkom. Het personeel was warm, vriendelijk en had alles tot in de puntjes geregeld. Het uitzicht over zee is werkelijk adembenemend en het zwembad is een droom, perfect om even helemaal tot rust te komen. Onze bungalows waren comfortabel, schoon en sfeervol ingericht, precies wat je hoopt op een plek als deze. Het restaurantpersoneel verdient een extra compliment: zo lief, enthousiast en altijd met een glimlach. De maaltijden waren heerlijk en met zorg bereid. Een bijzonder leuke toevoeging was dat we zelf de SUP-planken mochten gebruiken op zee, een geweldige ervaring! Ook bij het regelen van activiteiten buiten het resort kregen we alle hulp die we nodig hadden. Dank jullie wel, lieve mensen van Pondok Bambu, voor deze prachtige herinnering. Отличное расположение прям у моря. Персонал добрый и отзывчивый. Номера старые, мало света и изрядно послужившие. На фото отель смотрится новее и красочнее, чем в жизни. Полотенца стоит уже поменять, чистые, но потрепанные. Завтрак был вкусным. Персонал отличный!

Service met een grote S. Topverblijf!

De ligging direct aan zee. Er is slechts een klein strandje maar het terras heeft zonnebedden. Ook mooi zwembad. Kamers prima met smarttv. Veel restaurants op loopafstand. Duikschool erg servicegericht. Freelancer Tedak was echt een topper!! En wij zijn beiden instructeur en dus ervaren.

Boiler voor douche was niet voldoende voor 2 personen achter elkaar warm douchen. En dan ca. 7 minuten per persoon. Onze bungalow lag dicht tegen de Duikschool aan waardoor we het verkeer van de weg best hoorden.

Prachtig & rustig resort, prachtige ligging aan zee, direct aan zee kunnen ontbijten met dat lekkere aangename windje en bruisende zeegeluiden en tevens klein (prive)strandje onder, daar vandaan kan je ook met 'n bootje weg, regelmatig komt er iemand dat daar vragen of voor massages.. Personeel ook supervriendelijk. We komen er elk jaar graag.
