The room and shower were very clean and spacious. The hotel is conveniently located. The grounds are well-kept and garden-likely, and the pool is small but very pleasant. It is very quiet and cosy here because the hotel is located away from the road. The lotus pond is amazing! I'm happy with my choice.

Beautiful, clean and quiet slice of paradise

This was a beautiful holiday from beginning to end. Comfy rooms with high ceilings, little bar fridge (clean and cold), spacious bathroom (semi open at the top but I didn’t see any critters!), big comfy bed and cold air conditioning. Amazing and friendly staff, delicious food at the restaurant and very quiet resort to chill about during the day. The pool was sparkling clean too!

The wifi initially didn’t work but was resolved once I reported it.

A lovely spot to stay for a few days to rest and see the local sights.

The hotel is small, next to the Lotus Ponds and very close to the beach boat ramp. There is a small pool with a few sun loungers and a lovely little dining room, which served a limited but very adequate and fresh selection for breakfast. I requested a massage while I was there and the reception staff arranged someone to come in straight away - it was great and very cheap! We also had a locally arranged snorkelling trip in the Blue Lagoon area - unfortunately, there was A LOT of litter in the water, but the islands nearby were a great experience. All of the staff were wonderful and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again for a couple of days, passing through or staying to explore the local sights.

Nothing with the actual hotel. Unfortunately, there is a lot of litter in the Lotus Ponds and we had the extreme misfortune to get caught in a 'litter slick' when snorkelling nearby at Blue Lagoon area :(

A true gem in the East of Bali

Every time I have stayed here over the last, what, 13 or so years I have enjoyed my stay! One of the true gems in the East of Bali, so in short: I will always stay here whenever I need accommodation in this area!

Nice location, lovely breakfast

Lovely location right next to the lotus pond and just a short stroll to a really quiet little beach. The hotel is smaller than I realised and that included the room. The bathroom however was massive and really lovely. The pool was lovely and grounds had beautiful gardens around. The food at the restaurant was really good, breakfast included. They did this homemade dragonfruit, pineapple jam, it was beautiful. The location was good too, close to a few nice places to eat and just up the road from some of the best coffee I have enjoyed in Bali, let alone Candidasa

The room was quite small so if I spent time in the room, it might have felt a bit limited but I am also used to staying in hotels that have decent sized rooms

A lovely stay

A lovely little hotel. The staff are very helpful and kind. The room was clean. It is very quiet and peaceful. I had friends staying in a nearby hotel paying more than me but I felt my room was much better positioned, overlooking the pool and the little restaurant. Typically Balinese but plenty of hot water, and mosquito netting around the bed, although I never saw any mosquitoes at all. Good value for the price paid.

Whilst the hotel is beachfront there is no direct access to the beach but it is easy to just follow the path alongside the hotel. Breakfast was well priced but limited. There are no beach views but I didn't mind as I loved how peaceful it was.

Hidden gem!

This property is a real hidden gem in Candidasa! The staff is so nice and always available when you need it, the food in the restaurant is amazing and there’s a lot of choice, the pool area is very well maintained and feels like a dream! I couldn’t recommend more! And especially, everything was spot clean!

Tropical oasis in a quiet area with a beautiful pool and villa

The pool area is incredibly peaceful, the lodge is stunning and the staff were wonderful. The design of the villa is traditional Balinese style which is just so beautiful! The food at the restaurant is delicious - especially the fish.

The bathroom is semi-open with holes near the roof. This let in a lot of flies at night. Not an issue but my advice to any traveller here would be to put the mosquito nets down on the bed in the early afternoon (before the mosquitos appear in the evening) and keep the bathroom door shut. It’s absolutely not a deal-breaker though as the hotel is stunning.

Beautiful lotus pond hotel.

A small hotel that created a positive and happy interaction between guests and hotel staff. Very friendly and sincere waitresses in the fabulous little restaurant. The location next to the town's beautiful lotus pond was most engaging. I loved my experience at the Rama Shinta.

Sometimes water was not replaced in my room . How ever was not hard to obtain water at the restaurant.

5 days of total relaxation. Even though there is not a lot to do in Candidasa, I was never bored. I loved everything about this little place! Great gardens, staff, pool, restaurant and location beside the lagoon. My favourite hotel so far in Bali, by far!

Beautiful hotel stop for a short stay, gorgeous pool area and garden. A little pricey.

Beautiful pool area with well tended, beautiful and colouful plants. It is a very pleasant space to spend hours relaxing by the pool. The property is adjacent to Candidasa's stunning lotus lake, a beautiful outlook especially in the early morning when the lotus flowers are open and blooming. Comfortable room with fridge and kettle - always on my room wish lists. Friendly and helpful staff. A lovely place for a few days of simple rest.

Having travelled around Asia for the last few months staying in a variety of properties, I found the price of this property higher than others with similar facilities and in more popular areas. There isn't a beach at the property - this I was aware of but I found the area in general a little tired. More bugs specifically little ants than anywhere else I have been.

Lovely picturesque hotel

Rama Shinta is comfortable, quiet, with a beautifully maintained small garden. Staff were really helpful. And the pool was great. We stayed for 2 nights and ate at the hotel restaurant a few times as the food was really tasty.

I love the location of this hotel. The lotus lagoon is beautiful, and its super close to Vincent's restaurant, and other good warungs.

This was my 3rd stay at the Rama Shinta and it felt run down. No welcome drink was provided upon arrival (they used to have the best one!) There was no table or luggage rack to put luggage on. Toiletries provided (Shampoo & body wash) were cheap, and in cheap dispensers. The gardens didnt seem as well kept... and the fountains werent working properly. We lost power and WIFI for almost a whole day (not the hotel fault) but it would have been nice to receive something in return. A free drink or food credit.

Great hotel, wonderful service.

Small traditional hotel. Everything very well maintained. Gardens tended daily. We had Deluxe room. Super clean, even under the bed. Large room, bathroom huge. Tea, coffee sachets provided, with kettle and large container of water. Loved no plastic bottles. Serviced daily, Nice seating area out side room. Only a few steps to gaze at the lily lake, and a few more to watch the ocean. Large supermarket close by. We had breakfast included, wow, plenty of options, full cooked breakfast was delicious. Team could not do enough for you, committed to making sure you were happy. Lovely clean pool, plenty of decent sun beds. Pool towels provided. Open from about 8 am to 8 pm. Cleaning takes place before and after these times. Books to borrow in a variety of languages available. We would certainly stay here again. The photo is of the room next door, as forgot to take ours before we made a mess.
