Absolutely nothing except breakfast.

am writing to formally raise a complaint about my stay at your property. Unfortunately, the experience has been extremely disappointing and far below expectations: • Noise and Disturbance: At midnight, guests were drinking and making noise. Neither my children nor I were able to sleep (at 11:20 pm we were still disturbed). • Health and Safety: My son was bitten by insects, which I believe came from cattle kept too close to the rooms. • Lack of Basic Facilities: There was no soap in the room, and the coffee machine did not work. Despite assurances, no one came to fix these issues. • Unhelpful Staff: Both the manager and the reception staff insisted that we pay CHF 700, even though we had already paid via Booking.com. Their attitude was unhelpful and dismissive. • Only Positive Point: The breakfast was the only aspect we appreciated. Given these serious issues, I feel completely let down by the service and do not recommend the room we were allocated. I therefore request a full refund for this stay. Please confirm that my complaint is being taken seriously and let me know when I can expect a resolution. Regards Srijana

Nice and comfortable.

- Room was clean and has toiletries. - There's a coffee machine and water inside the room. - Hotel is near metro station, just opposite side. - Room has a nice view of the mountain and river. - Staffs are nice and accommodating.

- There's no one at the reception to welcome you. - There are some insects outside the room.

Great location for a good price

Great location hotel is right next to the river. From our balcony, we have the river and the Mountain View. Great parking available. breakfast was typical European breakfast. It was good enough for us.

Not that I didn’t like, but the hotel didn’t have no air-conditioning. Luckily when we were there, it was a little cold at night so we had the window open to get some cool air inside the room.

Well managed property in the best location (skip breakfast)

Situated right across the Giswil train station and accessible to every point around, this hotel with its great location offers spacious rooms, a very comfortable bed, great modern amenities and a perfect ambience in a century old, but very well maintained building. Everything is so well thought of that one wonders what can go wrong... Except breakfast.

Breakfast. Nothing is cooked. Everything is cold. A couple of fruits, loaves of bread which one has to cut themselves, raw eggs with only the option to boil yourself, and yogurt doesn't make a good breakfast. But since everything else is so impeccable, this can be ignored for a short break.

the beds are really bad! you can feel every spring through the mattress. we all had back pain in the morning and did not sleep well. such a shame. because besides this very important issue, it was very good. hope they replace them soon

Great rooms and staff, kids friendly.

Staff was perfect and friendly. Rooms were perfect. Kids friendly facilities were highly appreciated, like playground outside, playroom inside, ducks and hens on premise.

Smoking room/bar is so central that there's a pervasive smell of smoke in the restaurant seating area and entry. Not great for either adults or kids. I know the canton allows it, but maybe the restaurant can make a choice to not do it.

Beautiful view, comfortable beds, friendly staff, good service. We hadn't reserved but they found us a table. Food selection was great.

Breakfast selection could have been better. Egg queue was long, bread selection was ok.

A good price hotel for when you are travelling through switzerland.

Breakfast was good, lots to choose. The location has ups and downs. Although it is located near popular locations, you need a car to drive around. On the other hand its really quiet there. The balcony view is all nature.

Smokers are making evenings not so nice. Wasps are everywhere in the breakfast and restaurant area.

Beautiful room, specially the view!

The room was very beautiful and the view was amazing!!! We had a lovely view to the mountains and the channel. It was clean, the staff was very nice and it has a supermarket in front of it.

The were mosquitos but i guess it is part of the scenary. The breakfast is average, it could be better.

Simple and calm

The staff, they are very nice, Next to the train station, groceries near by, very nice walk ways the place is private farm with a small kids playgrounds, farm animals for kids to enjoy seeing.

The rooms are a bit congested, but this is normal for similar places, small bags are more easy to store No fregs, I had my kids medicines require cold place, I had to give the medicine to the hotel and take it when ever I need. the breakfast is basic. the value of money for high season is quite acceptable but it is far from busy cities, the value could be more compatible in general the place is lovely but only to sleep then you go around, you need to drive for attractive places.

Da ich kein Frühstück brauche, hat mir das Hotel ein tolles, feines Lunchpaket für den Jakobsweg mitgegeben. Das war ein super Service, vielen herzlichen Dank dem ganzen Team. Zudem war das Nachtessen einfach top!

Keine Empfehlung bei dieser Mückenplage.

Zimmer und Terrasse sind schön, auch wenn man überall die ganze Zeit von Fliegen genervt wird. Liegt wohl am Fluss direkt vor dem Haus.

Leider war mein Zimmer bei Ankunft voll mit circa 10 großen Fliegen. Ich habe versucht sie zu töten bzw. aus dem Fenster zu jagen aber das war wirklich schwer und hat bestimmt eine halbe Stunde Zeit und Nerven gekostet.. Aufgrund des Flusses sind hier wohl einfach viele Fliegen unterwegs, auch das halbwegs sichere Fliegengitter hilft leider nicht, denn ich hatte nachts dann trotz Fliegengitter wieder 4 Fliegen im Zimmer. Ich sitze gerade hier am Morgen im Frühstücksraum und man wird leider auch die ganze Zeit von Fliegen belästigt. 6 Stück die die ganze Zeit auf mir, meinem Kaffee und dem Essen landen. Also esse ich so schnell es geht und reise jetzt ziemlich genervt ab. Keine Entspannung. Bin froh, wenn ich gleich weg bin.

Grosses Gartenrestaurant mit vielen leckeren Grillmenüs. Die Seidenhühner und Laufgänse tragen zu einer lockeren Atmosphäre bei. Freundliches hilfsbereites Personal. Sicherer, abgeschlossener Velounterstand. Bequeme, zweckmässig eingerichtete Zimmer mit Balkon / Sitzplatz und Kaffemaschine. Früstücksbuffet mit verschiedenen Broten, Fleisch und Käse. Eier können selber gekocht werden.

ausgezeichnetes Essen, sehr gute Lage und in der Nacht mega ruhig. Sehr freundliches hilfsbereites Petsonal. Würde sofort wieder Hotel Bahnhof auswählen und kulinarisch sehr weiterempfehlen.

Fantástica estancia en un entorno natural y familiar

Desayuno muy bueno, sobre todo la calidad de los productos locales (fruta, lácteos,...). El personal que trabaja y atiende en el hotel merece una felicitación especial por su amabilidad y simpatía.

La persona que al parecer era el jefe o encargado o responsable, no tan merecedor de felicitaciones como el resto de personal que sí fueron merecedores

Sehr schönes gepflegtes Zimmer. Gutes Frühstück mit Allem was man so braucht. 👍🏻

Schade war das die Gastronomie bei der Ankunft an verschiedenen Tagen Abends geschlossen hat. Es war aber eine Empfehlung im Zimmer wo man alternativ etwas essen kann.
