Excellent position 10 minutes from the San Marco square. If you are going to Venice then an over the top Venison hotel ticks the boxes.

The room was ready when we arrived a little early for check in which was very welcome. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and had all we needed for a two night stay and a lovely view of the canal. There is no lift which didn't bother us with our small cases but it was a problem for a fellow guest with a big case. I am sure there is a light on the stairs but we couldn't find it when we were coming down early in the morning!

Right at the corner of 2 canals and about 8 minute walk from Rialto Bridge. Quieter area of Venice. You can actually see gondolas glide by the window of their lobby/dining area--how cool. Out our window (and many of their rooms have similar views) you could see the canals.

This is not your typical hotel but a guest house with 4 or 5 rooms. It is right on the canal by a bridge and around the corner from a piazza, so a very lovely spot. Maria was at the front desk when we check in and was very friendly, nice and helpful. She showed us our room and the amenities, and even assisted with booking a water taxi for us for the airport for the next morning. The property is lovely and charming- note that there isn't an elevator so be prepared to carry your bags up 2 flights of stairs. The rooms are decorated to make you feel as if you've stepped into old world Venice. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom spacious. The air con is not what we are used to in the States, but the room had a standing fan and that plus the air con made it comfortable to sleep. There were a variety of restaurants not far away. I would stay here again.

We had a bit stressful arrival to the Venice because the hotel didn’t answer our calls (we were arriving around 8pm and had informed this earlier). Luckily there was a person to welcome us. AC was not working as good as it should (weather was 30+ degrees celcius and very humid). Overall the location was good.

The place is beautiful. The room has windows to the canal and it is astonishing. However, it is HOT today, and the AC does not keep up with it. Just a heads up. Other than that, an absolutely lovely place to stay.

The room was great and clean. Very close all major attractions. Short walk to San Marco Plaza and Rialto Bridge but AC was broken in our room and the heat was unbearable. We had to open the windows at night and did not help much, if anything it let mosquitoes in.

This property is older and small, like much of what is available in Venice. The staff were nice, but the office is open limited hours, so if you need to leave your luggage it can be tricky. The AC is minimal, something to be aware of if you are travelling during hot months.

Loved this as an authentic Venetian experience, the period drapes, exposed beams, wallpaper and canal views, being a corner room we had 3 windows. Bathroom was good also

Rooms on the second floor with a steep,carpeted staircase that was hard to maneuver. Front desk usually unmanned, no one to help with suitcases. Front door unlocked daytime. Hard to get into the tub. On the plus side, good air conditioning, attractively furnished room. Good location 10 min walk to Piazza San Marco.

The room was very nice for a good price and good location! Our only gripe is the shower door in our room did not operate the best, it would sometimes pivot on its own and cause the bathroom floor to be soaked. There isn’t a fixed shower head, just a hand held one so that added to the problem. There was also potentially some mold on the corner of the bathroom between the mirror and window.

It’s not the best here. I understand that it’s budget but the mould in the bathroom is off putting and the rust running down the side of the bath and on all the fittings is awful. The glass screen doesn’t fit correctly so water goes all over the floor, plus it hits you in the back when you’re having a shower. You have to hold the shower head when you have a shower due to it falling off and also not actually sitting on the wall above your head unless you’re under five feet tall making hair washing a nightmare. The bed is really comfy but the room and furniture are tatty, there’s nowhere to really store anything so we just lived out of our suitcases for the duration. The walls are thin and you can hear the neighbouring rooms but we expected that. The floors are uneven but that is Venice and the carpet laid over the stairs is borderline dangerous. The staff are nice enough.

This hotel served its purpose. It was a decent room with a not so decent view. It did its job for me which is to get a good nights sleep. If your looking for luxury, this place is not it. But if you are looking for a decent budget hotel that you want to save money on and still sleep beautifully, this place is it. I enjoyed my stay! It’s very close to all the major tourist spots aswell!

I rarely leave reviews unless it's 5 stars, but this one was pretty bad. I waited until we finished our 3 week European trip to review this "upscale" property. I wondered if the rude greeting and musty smells were typical of a 3-star "hotel" (it's a B&B). After 10 hotel stays, I learned the smells and cranky staff were unique to this particular business. It's long walk from the water taxi especially if you're bogged down with luggage. Not clearly identifiable (we walked by it several times) and you have to call their staff and wait for them to check you in. Bedroom decor is far from calming. Bathroom shower faucet was broken and sprayed out every which way. Funky smells in room and lobby. No offer to help my daughter and me with our luggage up an endless flight of stairs (we were exhausted after traveling for 24-hours straight). The front desk clerk, looking annoyed while standing at the top of the stairs watching us struggle.

Quite a comfortable room and bed. Stairs to the room are a testiment to the age of the building. Watching the activity on the canal was a show in itself as the gondolieri expertly navigate the intersecting waterways. Room was excellent for location to so many good places for coffee and food.

Was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. It's next to a canal (of course) and bridge, and around the corner from a large square with some restaurants. Just away from the very busy touristy streets. Our room was large with a good size bathroom. Plenty of space to store our bags and clothes. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The location is wonderful, although a little hard to find at first. There are so many restaurants and shopping in the heart of Venice. The staff was very nice and even stored our luggage after check out. I would highly recommend this property since it was a reasonable price.

Just a little disappointed in the room that we only stayed one of the 3 nights we booked. The A/C was the #1 issue as it did not cool down the room sufficiently. We were sticky from the humidity and heat by morning. We brought it up to the front desk...she came upstairs, fiddled with the thermosat, and made us feel like we were crazy. She said what's wrong with it; as if we were imagining the heat in the room. The room itself was just ok. You get what you pay for.

This property is located centrally but is not well run. There are no staff snd they charged us €20 for checking in 20 mins after 8pm ridiculous. The stairs are dirty and slippery. The rooms small and beds hard. TV did not work. Shower was smaller than a boat shower so you could not bend at all. The internet stopped working and no one around to ask what was happening. Overall a dive in a great location.

There is no sign on the door. I was walking around in circles for 3 hours until I walked in. When I asked why there are no signs, the Assistant said it costs money to put a sign up...(?). The Shower space is very limited. If you weight more than 130 lbs, you won't fit in there. Other than that, all else was superb.
