    The staff were great , The food was really good . We had amazing views of the harbour from our room . We loved our short stay here and wished we could have stayed longer .

    As a couple we stayed for one night, but we were part of a group of eight who all stayed one night. We had no trouble booking a table and all the food was very good. The service was excellent and the staff behind the bar and serving in the restaurant were very helpful and obliging. Breakfast was excellent and once again the staff were very friendly and efficient. We were lucky and were given an upgraded room which was very comfortable with a large very comfortable bed. Access to the room was a little tricky because we had to go up to flights of stairs.

    Whole building in urgent need of comprehensive refurbishment. Dirty doors, walls, carpets, ironing board. Significant mould in shower, plumbing fittings not working properly, hand basin cracked, flush not working consistently. Main staircase, skirting boards, panelling filthy. Grossly overpriced for tired and uncomfortable pub accommodation. Try The Atlantic Hotel in Newquay instead: far nicer and half the price.
