It’s across the beach. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Spa, gym, room upgrade with a balcony and great bed.
Staff - I got 3 different answers about hotel discount for the parking from each staff member I spoke to. No one knew what to do and I had to pay full price.
Cleanliness - not great. The kettle hadn't been checked, it had been used for soup and was filthy. There was visible black dirt in the corners of the room. The shower tray had sticky dirt in it and the shower gel holder was broken such that you couldn't dispense the soap. The walls were visibly dirty in several places and didn't look like anyone had even tried to clean it off.
The breakfast needs some fresh fruit, otherwise it was fine.

This is a great hotel, the location is perfect - we had our dog with us and it was only a few feet around the corner onto the beautiful beach which was hard sand, so perfect for walking on. The beach stretched as far as you could see.
The room was extremely clean and had a huge bed which was very comfortable, it was also very quiet in the night with no traffic noise.
Everything about the room was perfect.
We had a buffet breakfast with a wonderful selection to choose from, including fried eggs, sausages, mushrooms and tortilla plus a huge choice of cereals, breads, cakes, fruit and cold meats and cheese.
The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful.
We would have no hesitation about returning or recommending this hotel.
The underground parking is on the opposite side of the road and only a few yards away to the entrance. It was easy to find and cost about €17.50 for the night. Our car was fully packed for a long trip but we didn't really have concerns about security.

The location
Old, quirky, very basic, needs a good revamp, renovation at all levels. There are no amenities (a part of the very basic ones: soap.) no water boilers, no slippers etc. Noisy corridor and its light was disturbing my partner all night as it was passing underneath the door frame.
The mattresses and pillows are horrendous.
