Hotel looks lovely from the outside, staff were very welcoming. The room we booked was very charming with a view onto the plaza below. Very clean and the bed looked comfortable. The hotel was beautifully decorated.
We were just settling into our room when we noticed a bad smell from the bathroom. into the bedroom Opening the window didn't help so we reported it to reception. They didn't seem surprised and offered us the duplex apartment instead. This gave us a lot more space and a kitchen area which was handy, but also moved us nearer to the noise and dust of the renovation work to the building next door, including working on a Saturday! The air conditioning is controlled by the hotel so was set to give warm air and even though we switched it off it still bubbled all night costing us sleep. When we highlighted the problems they assured us the issues would be dealt.
