Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge.

We liked everything about it. A beautiful hotel. Great location. Staff were wonderful and kind. Fantastic food. Great selection on the menu. A good atmosphere and a number of tv's available to watch sport. Bedroom magnificent and a good size ensuite. Tea and coffee facilities, big screen tv, and safe. Breakfast wonderful and a huge selection. To many to mention. Great choices. Big carpark. 12e overnight parking extra. I got it on line for 10e. Remember to validate parking ticket before you leave carpark. Great security. One must use their room card on door before you can enter corridor to go to your room. Wheelchair accessible. No bar service to tables after 10. Collect your drinks from the counter. Lots of information available on tours, places of interest to visit Well worth a visit.

Though for the standard and prices of the hotel could have been table service at all times, also a newspaper would have been a nice gesture at breakfast time.

The stay was enjoyable and relaxing

The room was comfortable and breakfast excellent. There was a great choice for breakfast. Dinner was good too. The room was very quiet, no disturbances during the night or very early morning

My car park ticket didn't work on one of the day and I had to return to the parking spot and go back into the hotel to get the ticket sorted. This delayed me getting to the rds which ment I didn't get good parking there which was a disaster that evening for packing up my stand

Wont be back.

I was woken 3 times during the night by noise from different rooms. One row lasted from 3:45am to 4:45am. I doubt anyone in the vicinity slept. The was vomit in one the lifts when I went down for breakfast, I informed reception, and they told me it had been cleaned earlier, it wasn't all cleaned up. I was then charged €12 for parking whish I wasn't expecting.

Rooms ok, no atmosphere hence didn’t stay around bar restaurant so overpriced for what you got but at this stage

Online check in needs attention Resturant absolutely over rated. Overpriced, soup no flavors, wings large portions but no flavors Average /poor corner chip shop fish and chips €25 Sea bass poor filet 4 asparagus and 1 potato cut €29 ridiculous Anyway to sum up &€110.50

The vegetarian main course at the event was 2 florets of cauliflower on a beetroot foam with a handful of greens. Poor poor poor

Location right beside the rds, underground parking ideal. Validated my €12 car parking due to restaurant food being bad for €72

My booked room was orignally bigger I was "upgraded" to a room that was smaller and had no carpet . The food was quite bad in the restaurant, frozen chicken burgers, disappointed for a top hotel.

Nice Stay in Dublin

Lovely hotel in a nice quiet neighbourhood, a short bus ride to the city centre with frequent buses. I will recommend for a trip to Dublin. Loved the historic architecture of the hotel. There several nice restaurants close to the hotel, The Bridge 1859 & Baan Thai is worth a mention.

The cleaning staff were slow to clean our room on the 2nd day, I approached them when I came back to see that the room was still not cleaned and they cleaned it.

Great stay, great area, will defo be back!

The staff were lovely. The hotel was lovely and quiet, and in a nice area. Breakfast was great, lots of options. The room was very spacious and clean.

The only negative was that the room was way too overheated all night long; there should be an option for the guests to turn down their own radiator. This was especially a bit dangerous as we were in a ground-floor room facing the street, therefore with no window opening access (there was a sticker that said it was restricted due to health and safety). This meant that with four people in the room and the rad on all day and night, we couldn't cool down.

Amazing, cant wait to come stay again

It was a last minute decision to stay, the staff were so helpful we you couldn't ask for more, the room was roasting and easy to access, the staff brought kindly, even brought us some drinks up at out request the breakfast had a wide variety even the fussiest of person like myself had a great selection,

The building is nice, our room was spacious. The breakfast is good, even the coffee is enjoyable. Staff is nice.

The heating is a bit old and it is difficult to set it right (you have to turn it a bit off for the night). The location is OK but a bit far from the centre.

Clayton visit for a Match

Decent size room with 2 double beds and hotel is in a good location for the RDS and Aviva Stadium

The car park entrance/exit is extremely tight and narrow. The room was expensive and I was charged extra to park the car overnight. We stayed on a Saturday night and were woken by a repeating fire alarm early Sunday morning. Guests were unsure what was going on and staff didn't know either.

Late check in, was after 3 and had gone to check if room was ready twice on the advice of check in staff, also the check in machine didn’t work so that was more frustrating than anything

Overall disappointed for a lot of money

Good location, lovely building

Paying with cash was an issue and no one tells you they'll want to take over another €100 as a deposit. Had to pay for parking but no one took our numberplate or anything. Restaurant was over priced and very little in the way of vegetarian options. Other guests were very noisy in the corridors, rooms had no sound proofing - we could hear everyone's toilets, baths etc. Bed was not as comfortable as I thought it would be for the price we paid. When we needed some milk for a coffee we had to wait for someone to bring it which seemed very silly to be honest, when we could've just grabbed it ourselves at the desk/wherever.

Slightly below average stay I would not consider this value for money.

It’s a nice property but it’s in need for an upgrade.

The pillows were all hard there isn’t an option for people who like softer pillows I asked reception but I received no other option. It was cold and there was only heating available for a couple of hours in the evening. The shower gel etc was so high in the bathrooms there clearly had not considered people who are shorter.
