We had such a wonderful stay at the Argyle Guest House in Tomintoul. The owners were warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, taking the time to chat with us and share great local tips about nearby trails, what was open during the "off" season, and what's accessible from town. Even though our room faced the main street that runs through Tomintoul, the space was incredibly quiet.
This b&b is also fantastic for anyone traveling with a dog. Our pup was treated like a guest too, with extra food + water bowls, a towel, and even a jar of treats waiting for him in the room. It made traveling with our dog completely stress-free and so enjoyable.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious (especially the hollandaise!). If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway in the Cairngorms, whether with dogs or on your own, we can’t recommend the Argyle Guest House highly enough. We’ll definitely be back!

Host was very friendly. I'm not a whisky drinker but the room had a few free drams for you. With proper whisky tasting glasses. Dont really know anywhere that does that. Room was lovely and large. Lovely breakfast. Would defo stay there again
