Enjoyed the quaint hotel and its location in the old town area. It's rather difficult to park far away and drag your suitcases to the hotel. No cars are allowed near the hotel. The room was fine, and the lady at the check-in was helpful.

Perfect location, very nice staff, clean and comfortable room. Would definitely stay here again if make it back to Annecy. Be aware that you cannot drive cars near the hotel, it is only accessible by foot. A little tricky bringing roller suitcase over cobblestone roads, but well worth it!

There is a sink, but it its leaking There is a faucet, but it drips There is a toilet, but it creaks because it's loose There is a shower, but it's height can't be adjusted There is a bathtub, but it has no shower curtain There is a tv, but it turned on in the middle of the night There is a remote for the TV, but the power button doesn't work There is an aircon, but it turns on and off very noisely There is a carpet, but it's heavily stained There is coffee, but it's instant There are pillows in the bed, but they are very thin There is a bathroom door, but it binds There is a door handle, buts it's loose There is a bed, and it's actually alright The service is OK, and the location couldn't be much better. Some rooms lack a view, but are also priced accordingly.

The canals are amazing and our hotel looked out on the Pallais de Ilse (hence the name)which is incredible.

Room 404 is at the top of the hotel, and although fairly spacious, and has several conditions to consider: 1) room access requires going up/down its own flight of stairs, 2) due to sloping roof, it is difficult to stand up in the shower and the head of the bed being under the slope also requires care when getting in or out, 3) the only clothes storage is a cupboard with two shelves – no hanging spaces at all, 4) very dim lighting overall, with the only bathroom light being on one side of the mirror – not conducive to makeup or shaving, 5) space between the end of the bed and the wall is very tight. Breakfast buffet choices were limited, and seating can be an issue at times. On the plus side, electrical outlets were plentiful and well-located, the air conditioning worked well, there was a great view of the old city rooftops and the Palais de l’Isle on the river. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for exploring Annecy. Taxis can come to the hotel only until 11 am. I would stay here again, but in a different room.

Great little hotel. Staff were fantastic. Bang in the middle of the old town but the glazing was good so we got to sleep OK. We parked at the town hall multi storey which was busy but not expensive, and only a five minute walk away. Recommended

Had a lovely few days at this hotel, the room was clean & spacious overlooking the pedestrianised old town street. Can’t say what the breakfast was like as we ate out. Unfortunately we arrived when the road was closed to drop our bags from the car, but we were directed to the underground car park just across the road & parked there. The views & general vibe of Annecy is beautiful, the people were very friendly. My only regret was not swimming in the lake. We loved our time here & will return. Thank you Hotel du Palais de L’Isle staff.

It was a lovely stay and it’s great if you want to be close to the lake. However, I totally underestimated the fact it’s in the middle of the old town and how over run by tourists it is. My window was out to the streets and though not car noise restaurants and bars are open till late, so quite noise. Worse still are the Lorrie’s (supplies/ garbage) coming in at 5:30AM. So either sleep with closed windows and Aircon or cope with the noise and early mornings In general, it’s a bit outdated and it’s not really worth €200 a night. Service was absolutely lovely !

This hotels pictures over sell the property. I had a premium double room which turned out to be very small. It was hot with ineffective air con, cramped with minimal storage and no windows in the bathroom or toilet. Very central location but annecy is so small its uneccessary to be that central. The 2nd nights staff offered to move us but the other rooms were barely any different. From what i can tell the developers have put too many rooms in one building. Nice staff but cant reccommemd the hotel.

This hotel is centrally located. Right in the middle of all the restaurants, shopping. It is also conveniently located for the lake and bike hire places. All within easy walking distance. The bus station is about 15minute walk. The room we were gicen (48) was small and it seemed there wasn't enough ventilation and felt a bit stuffy. So I opened the window to allow fresh air. Unfortunately the windowsill was full of pigeon droppings. This was the reason for the low score. This could have easily been cleaned. Allsaid, this is not a bad hotel for a couple of nights. Centrally located and convinient for sightseeing.

We had a room with a view of the rooftops and a little strip. It was lovely. Separate bathroom from shower was nice. The staff were helpful and they served an excellent breakfast with specialty coffees. Took care of my dietary needs (gluten and dairy intolerant) It was close to everything. Surrounded by canals and close to the lake.

Stayed here for a night before my flight to Nice. I loved that free breakfast came with my booking and it was delicious. I wasn’t too happy about the “luggage storage” being in the reception area where breakfast is served but my belongings were fine. My room was clean and I had a stunning view of the canal. Would stay here again!

Hotel located in the middle of the old city which is a tourist spot and gets very busy during the day. Check-in was easy. Staff was friendly. Sofa bed was already setup. They had a impressive European style breakfast spread with fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, cheese, freshly baked baguette, waffle, pancakes. The room was small, corridors were small, elevator was tiny. We got woken up in the middle of the night by an alarm along with our neighbors. It was a pleasant stay nevertheless.

This property is riddled with BLACK MOLD. Do not stay here! My infant son became ill and suffered respiratory issues after staying here. It was all through the grout and in every corner of the bathroom, I couldn’t even use the shower out of fear of getting sick. You can smell it in the room as well. I spoke to reception and they did not even offer me a new room (though this wouldn’t have made a difference - it is throughout the whole hotel). The property manager is refusing to address the issue and is ignoring communication from me and from Expedia as well. We had to cut our trip short and leave France early due to my son becoming sick from the mold. Do not risk your health and risk ruining your trip - stay somewhere else!

Super great location in Olde Town! Rooms are small, but come on....are you really there to stay hang out in a hotel room? Nope. The room had all that you would need (except no washclothes...we brought our own because of past experience in France). The bed, pillow, and comforter (no top sheet as in most hotels in this region of Europe) were very comfortable! We are each meal at a different cafe in Olde Town...a must! The morning market came alive our first morning transforming the streets completely. Very cool! If we return to Annecy, we will definitely be staying here again!

This is a lovely hotel. The staff I interacted with were really friendly and welcoming. The room was a single room, and was clean with a comfortable bed. The shower was great and towels fluffy. One thing I would say is that the door to the bathroom is clear - not a problem for me as I was alone (and think my room was meant for one). Not sure if other room types have the same set up but may be worth checking as, if you’re sharing a room, depending on who you’re travelling with, this may not be suitable. That isn’t meant as a criticism at all - just think it’s something I would want to know in advance. The location was perfect as it’s close to the beautiful Lake Annecy, and also close to lots of bars / restaurants nearby. It also felt really safe as a solo female traveller. Would definitely highly recommend this hotel.

Intense stench of open drains in the bathroom that permeated through the room. Not a huge reaction when we told staff on checkout (only stayed one night). Location fantastic and room comfortable and well furnished.
