Room outstanding by any measure. Clean, comfortable and inviting. Staff at Check in and breakfast were excellent. Knowledgeable and friendly. Made you feel like they were glad you were there. Highly recommend and will stay again on next trip.

Property is beat down. Furniture and everything is worn down and old All around cleanliness very poor. Elevator stinks! Like has not been cleaned in ages. Bathroom stained and room below par ! I’ve stayed in motels way better than this Night attendant was rude. Room key broke easily (yes this property still uses old worn out metal keys! Not cards!) and front desk attendant was very rude and accusative. Like I would do that on purpose. When locksmith came in, he clearly said that it would take a giant to break that key Breakfast was bland at best Only stayed one night for cruise. But definitely would not ever stay there again. Hotel was suppose to get us a taxi the night before -didn't. Front desk morning clerk did not get us a taxi either !!!! very unpleasant!!! - resulting in us not getting our prior booked tour of over $700.00 not refundable !!! Our Stay at Hotel Traiano was excellent. The service was outstanding, the hotel rooms were great for a family of four (all adults) and they had a number of extras that made our holiday stress free. We actually stayed at Hotel Traiano twice during our holiday. First, they picked us up at the airport (FCO). Our driver was waiting for us as we exited the terminal and we were at the hotel in less than an hour. Our room was ready (10am) which was a blessing as we had a long travel day. Breakfast was provided and excellent. They dropped us off at the Cruise terminal and picked us up 7 days later. A couple of days later they dropped us off at the cruise terminal again. The hotel is located about 10-15 minutes away from the beach/waterfront where stores, restaurants and the train station is located. There is a grocery store and bar close by which was super helpful. Italian hotels aren't usually spacious but the two rooms we had were massive. The hotel is a little dated but that is to be expected in Italy. We will return once again to Civitavecchia and more importantly Hotel Traiano.

I liked the option of paying for a limo to meet us at the airport and also booking a transfer to the cruise port. The owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating.. I did not like that it was quite a distance (for us) to walk down to the waterfront area(where the statue of the sailor and nurse is.

I hate air conditioning and I guess the management team assumed because I had a USA number that I would like air conditioning- which is wrong. I am European living in NYC. Nice location to the cruise port and Civitavecchia Centre. Staff were very helpful and informative about Civitavecchia and what it had to offer visitors. If I were to stay in Civitavecchia again, I would book this hotel again. The Gelato was amazing in Civitavecchia.

The room appeared as tho it had not been fully cleaned. The sheets on the bed had cigarette burns on them. The plates and dishes in the kitchen area were not clean. On the fold out couch bed The straps holding the mattress were broke so the mattress sink when you sat or lay down on it. The overall room was just not clean and not inviting. The online pictures must be older because the room is not as shown. Then to add to the disappointment, when checking out I was informed that even though I booked through hotels.com and it said price guarantee final price. There were taxes and fees added on which added an additional €50 to the bill I would just say beware and make sure you have all the details before reserving. It was not up to may standards or expectations but we are all different

We stayed at this hotel for one night before embarking on our cruise, and it was the perfect choice! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and were very helpful with everything we needed. The location is fantastic, within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the waterfront. It made exploring Civitavecchia a breeze, even with just a short time in town. What really stood out was the convenience of the transportation services. The hotel arranged smooth and affordable transfers for us, both from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the cruise port the next day. It took all the stress out of our travel plans. Overall, this was a clean, comfortable, and very accommodating place to stay. If you're looking for a hassle-free stop before your cruise, we highly recommend it!

The hotel has a quiet location a bit up in the city. The hotel is old fashioned, but it is clean. The receptionist is very helpfull. Our family stayed in a family room at the top floor. It was more like an apartment with two bedrooms and a kitchen area with sink, small refrigerator, microwave oven and a washing machine. The washing machine was really good to have during the warm summer to wash the clothes. Also there is a shared roof terrace with a drying rack. Then to the cons. The most negative thing was the poor aircondition. There are ACs in both bedrooms and in the kitchen, but even when they are set to the minimum temperarure we were sweating all the time inside the room. Also outside of course since it was 35 degrees outside in the summer. So it was hard to sleep because of the heat. The breakfast was very limited. Some cakes, cereal or bread with one type of cheese or meat. The scrambled eggs and bacon were better than usual in hotels. But the alternatives were few, so a bit boring for more than one night.

This is a family hotel, and our host whose name was, Johnny, couldn’t have been more helpful. He made reservations for us at restaurants and on the hop on hop off tour bus. He was very helpful in directing us throughout our two nights stay. The bowel driver was prompt and picking us up at the airport even though we had aneven though we had a four hour delay from Newark airport and once again, the driver was just as prompt taking us from the hotel to our cruise ship. I would definitely stay here again.
