Advertised as dog friendly however dogs are not allowed in the restaurant so no dinner or breakfast available unless you wanted to be put in a back room and told your dog mustn’t make any noise. Mildew in shower. No refill of milk or coffee unless room cleaning paid for.

Our stay was disappointing due to several issues. The room had cobwebs in almost every corner, and as someone allergic to dust mites, the carpet triggered a nasal allergy flare. The pillows were thin, the extra one smelled bad, and the decorative pillows had visible stains. Toiletries were limited to pump hand soap and a combo shampoo-shower gel—no slippers, toothpaste, bar soap, or tissues provided. Breakfast was also underwhelming, with no vegetables or lactose-free milk, making the €14 price unjustified. Overall, the experience didn’t meet expectations.

We booked the hotel so that we could use the bar and restaurant for our evening meal. We arrived in the dark in the middle of a storm and was told we couldn't use the restaurant/bar as it was booked out for a group booking. They did not advise us of this even though I emailed them, prior to our arrival, to which they did not respond. They could offer us no alternatives for food, nor did they direct us to anywhere nearby. The room was dirty with stains on walls and skirting boards. The toilet bowl was dirty and the bin in the bathroom hadn't been emptied. The central heating system didn't work but there was a very antiquated electric heater which we had to use. Breakfast, however, was very nice with lots of choice. There are lots of hotels in the vicinity so in future we will be using one of these.

Check in was adventurous front desk was already closed at 9:30 my reservation number did not work on the self check in there was a kind person staying there that spoke French that help us with commutating with the operator breakfast was not anywhere close to what website has pictured gate stayed open first night second night it was closed didn’t work with combination of room had to call for assistance and again no wash clothes or hand towels and no ice machine what is the deal with no hotels in France having the basic immunities like in the States

Reception staff very helpful and changed our room to one nearer to the parking area. Room clean and recently refurbished. We eat in restaurant again staff helpful but service slow as the staff also had to deal with reception. Very noisy during the night , we think it was the security guards walking around talking and laughing on the hour through the night. Very basic amenities but adequate for stopover on our way home

Mixed feelings about this hotel which is actually a motel. A/C was down for the whole hotel at the time of our stay. Pros: good value for the money, quiet neighborhood, free parking, good restaurant, friendly staff, clean inside and out. Cons: room and bathroom on a smaller side.

Real disappointment for a 3 star. Rooms smelled of smoke or were too hot to be able to sleep in. Air conditioning not working, as soon as you opened a window to breathe people poked their heads in as it was an open corridor. No privacy. Expect to be woken up early by delivery trucks after a night without sleep due to inconsiderately noisy guests coming in and out of their rooms.

Stayed one night here ahead of a 08.15 ferry crossing the following morning from Caen to Portsmouth. Hotel is well located just outside the charming and affluent town of Deauville. Broad equivalent of a Travelodge / Premier Inn, so no frills but perfectly adequate for a one night stay. Our family of four all squeezed into one room. Only issue was attempting to check out at 06.15 on the Sunday morning - reception area all locked up and no-one around, so I sloped off not having paid my bar bill..... oh well...!

Pleased with our stay, would recommend having breakfast for 10 euros, very nice. Cannot complain at the room for the price. Got a cab into deauville at a cost of 13 euros! Walked back from there in 25 minutes! Would visit again!

This hotel is excellent as a base from which to explore Normandy. A very comfortable and clean 'motel' style ensuite room with a cosy bar, excellent restaurant and reception housed in a main complex across the car park. The French staff were very patient and helpful given our limited command of their language! Very easy to get to - for us 2/2.5 hours from the Dieppe ferry and not too far a drive for our day trips to places such as Honfleur (a must!), Bayeux and the D-Day beaches.

We booked a room for 2 nights for 3 people. All the indications on the reservation showed 3 single beds. The rooms are 2 single beds + 1 folding bed that we needed to pull from under one of the beds (lots of dust and very uncomfortable). If we knew that the 3rd bed was a folding bed, we wouldn't have made reservation in this hotel.

We checked into our room, briefly spent some time checking it and then left for a night out on the town. We got back around 10 pm only to find no pillow for one of our kids. There was no one in the office, lights were out, no number to call. . . . we were just stuck with a bad night's sleep for one of us. The next morning we mentioned it and the manager shrugged his shoulders, gave a chuckle and said "sorry" in a very insincere way. Room was clean and the beds in the family room had just sheets on top for bedcovers. We referred to the rooms as "prison style." Location was nice near the horse races.

We stayed at the Campanile for two nights while we went to the beach in Trouville during the day. The rooms are small and while we had three single beds - once they were all in place there was only 1.5 feet of space between the beds. That being said the rooms were clean but dampish even with the 30 degree weather. My teens were in a separate room and they used only two beds leaving more space available to circulate. They were very satisfied and really happy about the internet availablity at the end of a beach day. Staff were available and amenable and check-in and out went beautifully. We did not eat in the dining room but it looked clean and the prices were competitive.
