Good clean room, nice decor, comfy bed

The mugs and spoons in the room were still in used condition, ie, they had food on them and drink. The radiator was not pushing any heat out despite being on maximum. I could hold my hand against it and only feed midly warm. Despite paying in advance with a combination if tesco clubcard points and debit card, upon arrival i had to use my debit carf for a room deposit. I was informed this would just be a bank check by the man on reception. Upon following his instruction, i was charged a further £54.86. I queried this when i had the notification from my bank to be told the manager will call me. Its now 6pm, 7 hours after i checked out and still no call.

Repeat visitor. Clean tidy, close to airport.

Staff were great, cleanliness of hotel was below average. Rooms cleaned ok corridors and lift areas hadn’t seen a hoover for some time. There was a piece of chocolate on the floor by the lift for 3 days. Cleaners walking past it and ignoring. More attention to detail of non room areas

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was clean and pool and steam were perfect.

Stay at this hotel when ever in the area.

The village is my go to hotel if available, but getting frustrated that I can get a reception for parking. This is starting to cost me money, may need to look for another hotel, when working in the area.

Weird smell coming from bathroom could be drainage ?

This was an awful stay for more then one reason .. noise , fire alarm going off .. fireworks through the night going off early hours of the morning .. guests arguing .. wedding on downstairs and as my daughter couldn’t access pool or gym due to fact she was 15 and being with me and we paid extra for to .. staff not wanting to deal penny conplaint efficiently either just awful came out so tired so never again

Room was rundown, stains everywhere, firearm making clicking noises, shower still had hairs in from previous guests.

not happy with service, my bathroom sink was blocked i reported it 9/8 25 in morning about 9am . came back to my room at the 11.30 pm still wasn't fixed. i spoke to manager was not nice to me had terrible manners. he said i will get it fixed tomorrow 10/8/25 which was nogood to me as iwas checking out on that day.

Very comfortable bed so had two good nights sleep, The hotel is in a good position for getting to a lot places.

I have stayed at the Village Walsall many times myself. It was my father’s birthday so I booked him and my mum there as a treat after spending the day with them. I’ve never stayed on a Friday evening but they left at 4am in the morning due to the extensive noise from other guests. I have called the hotel and they apologised and said they have a number of weddings over the weekend. This was such a disappointment as we’d had a great day on the Friday and we were going to all have breakfast together but they returned to their home in Nottingham as they just could not sleep. When. They left at 4am, there were people sat drinking on the stairwell. If hotels are going to cater for weddings, it’s imperative that they ensure the other guests have the experience sold to them. I paid over £80 for their room, I could have paid for them to stay in a local b&b for less and they’d have had a much better experience. Sorry Village hotel, as stated I’ve stayed there numerous times myself and always left a positive review. However on this occasion the standards fell way short. Must do better.
