Standard room we got really looked nothing like the picture. They upgraded us for an additional $30 Euro. At least the bed was comfy. Decent location, but would probably pay the extra next time and find somewhere closer to St Marks Square. Host was friendly and helpful though.

GKK Exclusive Private Suites is like an Air-bnb, but actually with the breakfast. We stayed in the deluxe room, which was lovely, as pictures show. The bathroom (en-suite) was perfectly practical despite needing some work, therefore if a bathroom is super important to you, you may wish to look elsewhere, but if you just want a shower, basin, toilet and bday it’ll suit you fine. The bed was comfortable, as were the pillows and there was good storage available, including a safe. The view from the window was nice, overlooking the street towards the Grand Canal. Breakfast was pleasant, not amazing, but it caters for everyone and there was a lot of choice. It’s also quite cute how you place your order and leave it on the door to be collected and delivered the next morning. There’s air conditioning, allowing a comfortable room temperature despite the warmer weather. There is some general noise, as the door to the room isn’t that thick, but it’s not too bad. All communication is done via email/WhatsApp, as there’s no one at the front desk, which I found worked really well. Kudos to the brilliant staff. I would stay here again.

Amazing location, fantastic breakfast that came on time every morning, really clean & comfortable beds. Good aircon to keep us cool during the July heat! Friendly cleaning & breakfast staff, good communication to check into the hotel. We was able to check into our room once we arrived which was a bit earlier than normal check in time. No negatives about this hotel and would definitely recommend staying here on your holiday to Venice!

We enjoyed our stay at GKK. Communication was really smooth considering there was no reception. Staff responded to emails within an hour and gave instructions to check in over the phone. We really liked the homely feel to the property. It was quiet inside and was nice to come back to after the business of the Venice streets! The breakfast was also lovely. No complaints at all.

A perfectly situated room to explore Venice. We booked 2 rooms. One on the ground floor, one on the first floor. Check in simple. Very warm rooms so needed the window open all night so slightly noisy. Good facilities - water in fridge, shampoo in shower! The first floor room was more spacious and airy. Comfortable beds.

Great location- walkable from the train station and also to St. Mark's Square. Breakfast was served in the room on time and as described. The room was clean and looked like the photo. The host was responsive and easy to communicate with. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel after check out.

If you are comfortable with the self-check in approach, using key codes to enter throughout your stay, this property should suit you fine. It's in a quiet location 5 mins walk from a vaporetto stop with lots of bars and places to eat within a few minutes walk, but quieter and more chilled out at night than the very busy areas of Venice. It's a good place to use as your base.

I asked for the code the day before when leaving Toronto, i did not receive the information and when we landed, our roaming did not activate so i was not able to reach anyone at the hotel with no service. Got lost several times and had to ask two people to use thier phones.

The staff at Antico Doge, the parent hotel, made our stay in Venice a success. GKK appears to have some nice rooms. Ours was renovated top Venetian style. Unfortunately the air conditioning didn't work and it was a bit muggy. Fans were already supplied, so I suspect it was a recurring problem, un repaired. Our room had no privacy to the road so the blackout drapes had to be kept drawn. The breakfast was the best, but we were happy to leave due to the air situation. We left our bags at Antico Doge and the kindly staff served us Cappucino. We would stay at Antico Doge next time as it was a top top place and staff made us feel very welcome. My wife was pleased with the genuine friendliness. Probably the non ground floor units at GKK would have been a better experience. The area is nice. Close to everything.

The room was as expected, exactly as seen on the photos. Very clean and comfortable. The hotel offers the option of complimentary breakfast, which we tried once and it was satisfying. We also had a small fridge and a Nespresso machine with coffee capsules, which was much appreciated. The only problem I encountered was a lack of iron, which was upsetting because it was or last 3 days in Europe and we wanted to look top shape, and not wrinkled all over. I liked the location, it is very central and close to all tourisic spots. Self check in was easy, and the hotel was very responsive to all messages. They respond in a very timely manner. I would definitely recommend this place. I did not take any photos of the room or hotel overall since it was looking exactly as the photos you see on the website.
