Room was ok staff was polite , a lot of noise from other rooms playing music until 2am lift was noise as room was close by.

Overall, I had a good experience at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. There was a small technical issue during check-out, but it was handled quickly and professionally with no problems afterwards, which I appreciated. The facilities were clean and well maintained, and I had no complaints regarding cleanliness or general comfort of the hotel. There were a few areas that could be improved. Firstly, I stayed on the top floor and found the heating in the room wasn’t very effective. Even when turned up to the maximum, it didn’t warm the room enough to feel comfortable, and it seemed to be a standardised system with limited control. Secondly, the breakfast menu was quite limited for non-pork options. It would be great to see more variety such as chicken sausages, turkey rashers, vegan options, and possibly scrambled eggs to cater for different dietary preferences. Lastly, at the bar I ordered a pint of Madri, but it tasted quite watered down compared to what you would normally expect. Aside from these points, my stay was pleasant overall.

We love this hotel, good value and good size room, plus having the pool is really great , old skool decor but we love it. Post modernist interiors that we really enjoy! Hope they don't update it, the decor is now trendy in a post modernist nostalgic way

The rooms at the Copthorne Hotel Dudley are modern, spacious, and offer great views. While some areas feel slightly dated, they still represent excellent value for money. Breakfast is available, although parking does come at an additional cost. One of the standout features is the size of the rooms, which are noticeably larger than many city hotels. On each stay, I’ve appreciated the thoughtful touches such as bathrobes, complimentary shampoos, and other comforts. The large television added to the comfort of the room and made the stay particularly enjoyable. Overall, it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay for both me and my partner.

The staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming. The food was great - scored it a 4 only because the room was so cold my Husband had to sleep in a hoodie on the first night. Staff rectified this by providing an extra blanket but it wasn’t ideal. We would definitely go back but when it’s a little warmer so that the heating wouldn’t be an issue. The location is great, on the waterfront and within a short distance from Merry Hill shopping centre where they have almost everything you could think of.

Black mould in the bathroom around the top of the shower, that someone has painted over so they know it’s an issue. Blue stain on the floor along with fake nails which I let hotel staff know about

The Rooms are big enough but a bit dated and the bathroom needs to be updated. The Hypnos mattress was the most unconfutable mattress I have ever tried to sleep on. The staff were very good & friendly and the breakfast was not the greatest. Location for Merry Hill Shopping was Ok but the walk down was not well thought of no crossing by the roadworks and a lot of ignorant drivers

Dinner service was poor, slow and wrong meal choice delivered to me and i heard at least 2 other diners with similar problems. The Manager apologised but no offer of a deduction on the bill or a foc drink. Felt like the restaurant had gone back to early post covid days.

Whilst the rooms initially seemed clean, we found the wrapper of some cigarette filters on the floor, which made me think the rooms hadn’t been hoovered properly since the last guests. Alongside this, when walking on the carpets, after a shower, it was clear there was hair that hadn’t been hoovered properly as it was sticking to my feet.Similarly, whilst the bathrooms appeared clean, when the mirrors steamed up you could see the drawing on them from previous guests. This shouldn’t have happened if they had been cleaned properly. The staff at reception were great - friendly and helpful, and organised a room on the top floor with a fridge. We stayed at this hotel last year and the breakfast was so bad we couldn’t eat it and so this year we didn’t opt for the breakfast and ate at a cafe around the corner instead and it put us off considering to eat at the restaurant for dinner. The bathrooms seemed like they needed a revamp this time, the wood is chipped and looks tired, whereas last year it seemed fine still. The shampoo in the shower smelt amazing!!

No Guiness 0% which was disappointing, selection of non alcoholic drinks poor. Room was fine however the noise from the bars opposite was horrendous until 3am!!!
