While it is expected that booking inn should be a bit slow as everyone will be arriving at the same time for the event. However the hotel could have anticipated this better

While not a complaint, the evening meal was overcooked.

Parking . Charged £6 on arrival for parking wasn’t made aware of this charge before we arrived. The spa/swimming facility was out of order. If we’d known the above on the date of booking we may have booked elsewhere . Was only told few days before arrival the facilities were being revamped was hoping to use them

Convenient, clean

We specifically asked for one of the rooms to be quiet as my son was travelling with a baby. They were put in the wing with a room next to the neighbouring pub where there was Christmas disco until the early hours. Ppl were very noisy outside until about 2am, this included noisy people shouting outside rooms as they came back. Cars speeding around the car park. We had three rooms none of us slept well

We had a complimentary breakfast.

A toilet that didn't work and leaked for the first night after we had reported it. Luckily the second day the receptionist sorted it fir our second night. No communication spa was closed at time of booking.

Location was ideal for partner and I's visit, staff are friendly and informative The different lighting lamps were excellent, a bright mode and a dimmer easier on the eyes mode, as well as wireless charging pad with USB drives

Staff are brilliant. Donna on reception is lovely and very friendly and always remembers us from previous visits. The room had a nice view over the waterfront. Was beautifully decorated for Christmas.

Staff were absolutely amazing here very very friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask of anymore. From check in to restaraunt staff. Food was fantastic.

Only thing we could have a little gripe about was noise from a wedding or function going on to till 4am in the morning was a tad to noisy ..

The Hotel boast a grand entry but needs a lot of work done to make it great again. My room was ok on first entry but then began to see it for what it. Grubby and dusty. The bathroom had mould around the edges. The kettle had water in and had lime scale outside the spout. The rails of wardrobe was fowl with dust. The picture had been removed from the wall and had not been replaced exposing large holes where the picture had been. My bedside lamp did not work. Dirty splash was present up the wall. Least I go on. The only positive is that the bed was very comfy and the carpet was clean. When we purchased something to eat. I requested seasoned fries. When we recieved it it was plain fries. After saying to staff about my seasoned fries we were told they ARE seasoned fries. She said we put salt on them... Are they for real.?? They are plain fries with salt. Which I could have done myself.!!! Misrepresentation on their menu and charging £3.95 fir plain old chips.. Then my friends sticky toffee pudding was rock hard we had to ask for another I was tempted to ask for a partial refund for my whole stay.. FAR FROM HAPPY!! I had precooked a room for Christmas for 2 nights that I cancelled while at the hotel as I am shocked at their standards across the board on a whole. If I was a Secret shopper I dread to think of the report they would have received. It would take a lot to get me back there again and in hind sight I should have requested a partial refund!!

My friend booked me for a surprise spa and afternoon tea for my 50th Birthday. On arrival we were chatting to the reception team an mentioned my birthday, to my surprise i had a 50th birthday card put my door with free drinks voucher. The staff went above and behind that worked that sturday. We had executive suite and was amazed we had freebies in the fridge was so so noce.

A great sized room, everything in it was as expected and worked well. The bed was very comfortable and a good size. The room was clean and overall well presented. The water view was good on the one side too. We loved the equipment in the room, the iron, the safe, the hanging space, the trouser press and TV were all impressive to be included. The reception staff were welcoming,friendly, helpful and informative all throughout the stay. The free use of the leisure facility was a welcome touch, and use of hotel/centre towels was a nice touch too.

For the price great room, and the bathroom was lovely, however the bath could do with some love. The plug didn't work and would not of enabled anyone to take a bath (or soak their feet whilst in the shower). There was a small leaf shaped chip in the ceramic/porcelain by the plughole, I say leafshaped as without glasses on in the shower I thought it was a leaf and spent a minute trying to clear it. But that was it.

Room & bathroom was clean. Bed comfy. Breakfast was decent.

Excellent facilities and good value for money

The information about the facilities were a bit lacking. The staff assumed that you knew where to get towels for the gym, where breakfast was. Nothing major

A couple arguing kept us up most of the night. This completely spoiled my wife’s 60th birthday celebrations

Great location for the civic hall and shopping

It was all good until I looked at the pillow , really disappointed it was marked and dirty.

It’s great location and convenient as my girlfriend lives two hours away just comes to spend time for the day

Check in was easy, rooms large and comfortable

It would be nice to have a small fridge in room to cool down water and be able to take some fresh milk for coffee

Breakfast staff not attentive. Food removed without asking if we would like anything. We arrived 20 mins before end of bfast. Had to ask for items and food/drink empty in some instances. Staff too busy chatting and not focussed on customer service.

Great location, fantastic hotel

location was just what we wanted for our weekend in the Black Country. Bed comfy and clean Receptionist and receptionist in dining room for breakfast were lovely, as were evening staff. Reserved us a table for 10 for each breakfast

Room decor tired and grubby No shampoo, conditioner or soap in the dispensers Old food servings left for hours outside others rooms Breakfast was chaotic on Sunday , staff fraught and hot food ages to be replenished

Spa very tired and small. Wouldn't come back for the spa. Bed wasn't very comfortable. Breakfast not the best and some staff weren't polite.
