Excellent in all ways! Staff was lovely, hotel very nice, room large & comfortable, fantastic parking area. Appreciate that they had a small bar which allowed us to our hase a bottle of one on the premises. Location is at most 10 min walk to historic district.

Perfect location, very tastefully decorated and friendly reception. I wanted to give this hotel 5 stars but a couple of things stopped me from doing so. Firstly, the water did not drain away in the bathtub/shower so it was a bit slimy and slippy. Secondly, and more importantly, the breakfast was a let down. The hot buffet was some very wet scrambled eggs, something that looked like a cross between bacon and ham (am all for trying new things) but it didn’t smell nice and some potatoes. Also, cook your own boiled egg! A very simple selection of ham and cheeses, bread and pastries. Machine coffee. At almost £200 for one night for me and my 2 sons, I just expected a bit more.

The area itself is boring, but it's a short walk to center of Vannes and it's not a large town, so while the hotel is a bit away rm the main attractions, it's all easily walkable. Also because it's slightly outside of the old town, it's quiet and there is a large free parking lot. Very good value for money.

Overall it’s good place to stay and the stuff was very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was also very good by french standart. Eggs, sausages, yougurts, juices. The room was spacious. The only minor thing was that the bed was a bit short.

We visited this hotel in September as part of a package break and found it to be in an excellent position for walking to the centre of Vannes with the addition of secure free parking. Having decided to stay in Vannes as part of a longer independent trip we booked one night at another hotel with the intention of a 2 night stay on our return. We were so disappointed with the other hotel we cancelled our return booking and rebooked at the Marebaudiere and would not stay anywhere else when we next visit Vannes. The staff are lovely,very helpful with requests for restaurant reservations and places to visit. The free parking is a big plus as parking in Vannes is a nightmare and from the hotel it is a pleasant walk to all the main attractions. Only negative is the expensive breakfast which seems to be a common complaint. On our previous visit it was included in the package this time we didn't bother and ate out. Otherwise a perfect place to stay and we can't wait for our next visit.

Only a 5 minute walk to the centre of Vannes. Very comfortable bed, clean , quiet room on the ground floor. Didn't bother with breakfast, a little expensive at €12 each. Much better to wander into the town and get coffee, orange juice, croissants, bread and butter, and jam for less than half that price! My only bugbear is the lighting in the room is a little dull when I was trying to apply makeup.....not a huge problem for everyone else! Would definitely stay again.

We found the hotel a bit difficult to find in the first place but looked inviting when we found it. It was in a quiet location but close to Vannes main town and about a ten minute walk to the harbour. The room was very pleasant and comfortable, ideal for our needs. Did not have breakfast at the hotel, instead we got fresh croissants daily from the bakery which was opposite the hotel. Free parking in a private large car park was also an advantage. Would definitely stay there again.

I really appreciated the flexibility shown by the hotel - I had to change the dates of my stay which they accommodated despite the original reservation being non transferrable. The hotel has been recently modernised and is nice throughout. It is quite a walk from the main sights of Vannes so you need to consider that, but on the plus side being on the outskirts its very easy to find and has very good & secure parking.

This is not 5* luxury, but it is an extremely nice hotel in easy walking distance to the centre of Vannes. If you look closely you can tell that the refurb has been done to a budget, but that is being very picky. On the whole the finish is superb. The rooms were very quiet, although a little warm even at New Year, and I couldn't figure how to cool them down more. If you're on the second floor be warned - the blackout blinds on the Velux windows are amazing... hence our getting up at 12:30 thinking it was still dark! All in all we had a lovely stay & would do so again. Tips: We spent New Year in A Tribord, and had a ball. Nothing really happened until 11:30 and by 3am the place was crammed. Great bar staff really made the party what it was. The next night we visited O Brother down by the water - another very welcoming & friendly bar.
