The location at Logan Circle is just wonderful. The house is an old place, it says it on the listing, so don’t be surprised by creaking stairs and the like. If you want gleaming new, go elsewhere. If you want old world charm with updated appliances and location, go here. The house is huge, we had more space than we knew what to do with. The rooms are gigantic, the ground floor space is also really large. The house is really charming and full of natural light. Sara was incredibly helpful and communicative. My sister asked me if there was an electric kettle, since we couldn’t see one. I texted Sara, she was surprised it wasn’t there, and the next morning Amazon had delivered a new one. She appeared ready to do the same for anything we needed. Right next to a really charming dog park/bar/picnic area, seems to be in the center of local life, with lots of bars/restaurants/shopping a few blocks away in any direction. We loved it.

House was very spacious and comfortable. Parking was easy with one space in the back and the on street parking was easy the weekend we were there.

Overall, the place did the job for our stay in DC for 3 nights. We were two families with small kids including a baby. The details in the instructions alluded to some things not working such as some light bulbs or the stove vent. There was a lot more that was left out though —- kitchen sink easily clogged, dishwasher was full of stinky water that didn’t drain, garbage disposal didn’t work. Disappointed that we spent a lot of time washing dishes. Owner offered to look into it while we were there, but we didn’t think it would be a great idea to have maintenance people around trying to figure this out while we were on site.
Various fixtures were broken, loose, or easily coming off the wall, stair well banister poles also missing, loose, and one completely popped out. May be a safety issue if you are not watching small kids on the stairs.
House experience was also noisy on many levels. It’s an old house so lots of loud creaky stairs and wood floors to be expected. Bedroom furniture in the two street facing bedrooms were super loud and creaky when getting in or out. This was relavent to us since we slept w the baby in our room. Also lot of street noise from trucks at all hours of night and especially early morning.
House needs some major updating and fixing, and TLC. Overall experience of staying here was nothing special.
Best part was it being close to a coffee shop and the metro. Nice that it had a pack n play and high chair as well.
