Bed had bed bugs and the breakfast was horrible, the bread was also hard. I am out here for business and always book hotels with complimentary breakfast and this was by far the worst hotel by Wyndham I have ever stayed at and Wyndham hotels are always usually great. Big disappointment!

Pool needs to be updated, breakfast could use some more options as far as protein goes, bigger towels for guests possibly some newer wash cloths, clean linens on the beds, my sheets had yellow and pink stains at the top of the bed so I had to purchase bedding while there just to sleep comfortably.

First, the good. The front desk workers were great! Very friendly and helpful, perfect front facing people. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean. Now for the bad. The first room we were given was freezing. The heat would not turn on. We waited about five or so minutes to see if it would heat up, it didn’t. The lady in the front desk was very nice about finding us another room. The halls were covered in bleach stains everywhere. The second room was perfectly comfortable, however, the toilet would not flush. There was a plunger in the bathroom that did nothing to help. By the time we realized this issue, we were entirely too exhausted to deal with getting yet another room. It’s just a good thing neither of us really had to use the bathroom.

There was no heat in the first two rooms we were given and the last room took hours to warm up. We had to sleep in our coats. The sheets in the first room were dirty and it appeared as if the shower had not been cleaned.

We had to get moved twice! The first room was filthy, the toilet was broken and clogged up with urine in it. The second room had no heat and it was 32 degrees outside. The pool was freezing. The only good thing was the front desk agent who went above and beyond to make sure we got into a room we could sleep in.

Waited with 3 other guests at check in on a Monday at 3:45-4:30 the entire lobby was unattended, the two other guests and myself called several times no answer, no sign on the desk be back, no nothing, pool/gym the two biggest amenities CLOSED ON NOV 8th, rooms are ok definitely not what you would expect from a Baymont. On Saturday I was forced to check-out or they would call the police all because the CC on the room was my brothers as he paid for the week to keep out of my car, only to be forced out he called and talked to a different person who fixed the stay and had to get all my stuff and check into a whole different room. None of lamps work, double bed room there was a towel, hand , and face cloth. Hair dryer broken, desk chair leaning and dangerous. This location in Merrillville is ran like carp, asked to speak to the GM on day two about the lobby being totally infrared for over a half an hour. Never came and talked to me. The lady at the front desk Indiana chick just acted like leave a cash I’ll and computers and everything unsecured for that time frame at that time of the day is unacceptable. When o asked about the pool I wactokd it’s closed for shocking joe it an a best western 20 years ago I don’t know any closing that takes a week to work. The pol was finally open my lady day here but you have to hi to the desk they let you in and it’s 3pm-9pm so silly I was told they had issues in the past? Ok…….? and yet the pool is visible from the front desk!!! worst!

Harassed by front desk staff 2 days in a row. This location has serious problems very very poor management. The owner of this location is an Indiana family (which is fine) however the owner like to scream at guestsz most amenities not available. Pool closed. Not a single lamp in the room the only light is at the entry point, heat has been cranked still cold and a blizzard outside. Phone does not work at all, desk chair is broken. Room smells like must, dog, and just funky. Breakfast total joke. Just Cereal nothing else! Constant loud booms because every room door needs to be adjusted they slam hard. There is clearly NO MAINTENANCE at this location you can tell. You can tell they have not truly cleaned the place pond EVER just vacuumed what you can easily see.

They refused to give me a refund or my so called damage deposit of $100 back. The room I booked was in poor condition, and the bathroom was completely clogged, making it unusable for the entire day. Despite our repeated requests, the staff didn’t change our room. When we spoke to the manager, she was extremely rude and even shouted at us. very unprofessional and disrespectful. We also asked the staff to at least clean the toilet by midday, but they didn’t take any action.

Rooms are not cleaned or maintained right. Mattress falling apart. Found used empty package of drugs in room. Garbage all the way around building and over flowing in garbage cans inside the hotel. Charged me for my service dog. Witch I get u can however most descent hotels won't . Got wrong room reserved a king size bed got 2 queen sized. No good TV channels. Breakfast area nasty not maintained during breakfast.. once they found out about my dog they gave me a dirty room. However service dog well trained. I have stayed in this chain many times however never has it been this bad. I get u get what u pay for however have some pride in ur business

The rooms was DISGUISING I was transferred to multiple (3) rooms before deciding I’m not staying here… my kids was disgusted by the pool as we walked by and didn’t want to get in. After asking for a manager multiple times I was turned away by a short Indian lady who refuse to show her name badge or verbally give me her name. She didn’t want to give a refund and also being very rude to me and my children. I Called multiple times to speak with manager after bring told manager is unavailable. I still haven’t received refund or manager response. Hotel should get get 0 stars 1 was minimum. Hotel smells so bad of animals and smoke. Wouldn’t recommend.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The lamp on the nightstand didn't work and the curtains were torn. Breakfast was from 6am to 8:30am. Well, they tried to refuse making more sausages. We complained because you're supposed to keep replacing what's run out until breakfast time is over. The waffles were good. The biscuits were hard and the gravy was watered down way too much. Overall the stay was good for a nights rest.

BEWARE. From having to wait 15 minutes to be checked-in, to the disgusting conditions… our stay was 30 minutes long. We checked-in, hauled all of our luggage to our room (without trying to touch anything with it), saw how dirty our room was, booked another room at a different hotel, and checked back out. Even that was too long of a stay. The only clean thing our room had was bedding, maybe. We were too afraid to check. There was cat food and litter on the floor in the bathroom. Cat food on the carpet by the beds. The room didn’t see a vacuum. The chairs were nasty. I sat down but only because I was having a panic attack. I knew I couldn’t get a refund, and I didn’t have the money to spend on another hotel, but there was no chance we were sleeping there. My 9 year old daughter said she’d sleep in the car instead. I’m by no means a clean-freak, and this place sent me into a panic. It needs to be closed down and a sanitizer bomb needs to be sent off in there. I spent part of my rent on another hotel and I’m so glad that I did.

It is dirty, and stained up.....fitness area items didn't work, the pool looks nasty. There is a nasty musty smell when heat was turned on and the room kept that smell. We are only staying one night, but we won't be returning to this hotel. It's probably the worst hotel we have stayed in.

I questioned the exaggerated amount that was held on my card. I was told at the front desk that they held an additional night plus a deposit. In addition, I would receive both amounts back on Monday. On Monday, I received the extra nights charge but never received the additional deposit. It is impossible to get through to the hotel or anyone that can help. When I checked out of the hotel there was a couple arguing with the person working the front desk for this same reason. It appears this may be common scam here to take additional funds off customers cards and not return it!!! This is all in addition to the room being dirty, the sheet would not stay on the dirty unstable bed, and the water in both the shower and sink would not stop leaking.
