We stayed in this hotel for our trip to the holiday park and the Technik museum. The hotel is conveniently located, close to both attractions, and the cathedral and the city center are within walking distance. During our stay, there was a street festival with roller coasters, food, drinks, and music right next to us, which was interesting for our kids to look at. There was plenty of parking, breakfast was good with many options, room was comfortable, staff was very friendly. Upon request, a baby crib was brought to our room within minutes. Our small kids played happily in the play area next to the reception when we needed to wait. We are very happy with our short one night stay here.

Nice location in Speyer. Clear sign of ageing - but anyhow a decent room for the price. Bed was comfortable and WiFi excellent (around 100 MBs/sec). Was allowed to check in at 1.30 pm, which was greatly appreciated.

we stayed when it was 35 - 40 degrees Celsius and they have no air conditioning. They did offer us a fan. The closest restaurant we found was 10 - 15 min walk away. We went for the museum which is close enough to walk and it was excellent.

No air conditioning in the rooms (but lobby has it). 103F / 39.4C (July 2019) is way too hot for that. Even when it cooled down, the room was still too warm. The hallway to the room smells like a sewer. The bathroom smells like a sewer. The shower is tiny, leaks and has a cheap shower head setup. On the plus side, the location is fantastic.

This is a good value-for-money hotel in an excellent location. I had requested a double bed, but as I was single occupancy was given a single. This was fine though as the price was very good. The only thing that could be better is that there is no air-conditioning in the rooms and it was very hot during my stay.

Booked and paid for a double room, after travelling for 12hrs I was issued with a single room. I was told this was because I was 'single' and the hotel was fully booked. I had observed someone walk in off the street directly in front of me and order a double room! I got one in the end. The temperature was almost 40 degrees, there is NO air con in the rooms and no fans to be got, had to take constant cold showers to cool down!

Great hotel, worthy of the Ibis brand. It's a good 25 minute walk from the train station but close to the Technik Museum. We stayed at Speyer to visit the museum. The hotel is spacious and modern with good size rooms, free tea, coffee and water in the lobby and a good breakfast room. Breakfast was the usual continental buffet but very good and plentiful. The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful.

When we arrived the check-in staff were very helpful and our room was very clean, comfortable and relaxing. The Ibis is a short walk from the Dom, Tech museum and has easy connections to motorway. We had a very nice buffet breakfast, that had a very good selection of fresh fruit, yogurts and smoothies. This was a very nice change from the usual breakfast one gets in the area. Our room was clean and comfortable. All of the staff were very helpful. But watch out for some of the locals. They can be very rude, since there does not seem to be a German word for 'excuse me'.

This was short business stay of two nights. The Ibis chosen through price and availability on the date of travel. The room was entirely comfortable. On arrival however there was no hand soap or shower gel in the bathroom, typically in a lower end hotel the toiletries are in a bottle bolted to the wall and both were completely empty. The bathrooms have always had an unpleasant aroma at this hotel, this room was no exception. Its bearable just keep your bathroom door shut. Internet was dreadful but its normally very good and the carpark was completely full which is surprising considering they charge you €5 extra to use it. I parked out on the road for free, this was not a great start. I left messages to have the bathroom refilled and all was good thereafter. The hotel does not serve any decaff coffee which is disappointing but overall a good hotel on a budget.

We stayed here during a four week motorcycle tour of Europe. The hotel was exactly what we expected, having spent time in other hotels from this chain. The location is very good for the Technik Museum but the hotel is a bit overpriced.

This modern hotel was within walking distance to the cathedral, Christmas Markets and main street. It was also an easy walk to the Technic Museum. We booked a family room, and were given two adjoining rooms, so we had plenty of room. The breakfast buffet provided a great start to each morning.

The staff expected our lte arrival and were very knowledgable and polite speaking Engish without a problem. the hotel is well designed with a light and comfortable public area. Car parking is no problem and there is easy access to the centre of the town.

Fine hotel, everything as expected. Just be carefull not getting a room facing the highway - that you will hear during the night. I booked and paid the hotel through hotels.com - and that was ok when checking in and checkin out - but during the afternoon, the hotel called the company I visited, and said I had not paid. Really not the best service, when a hotel calls - and tell in the reception that you left without paying. Well, I explained the the case - and they never called back - so I guess this just goes under "please pay twice"...
