I think the location was great, the staff were friendly but this place definitely needs some more love and money thrown at it.
Room itself was nice, had clearly been renovated but not the bathroom, the beds were comfy but firm.
The biggest issue was the air con. It is so incredibly loud and the unit is in the room. It was like having a plane engine start every time it would start a new cooling cycle. We didn’t have a single night there uninterrupted because of it (even with ear plugs)
The biggest thing for us would have to be the pool facilities. The day beds /cabanas were pretty bad, covered in stains and you could tell the sheets on them aren’t being cleaned daily.
There are two pools, one was completely green with algae and not swimmable the other was covered in grime all around the rim of the pool.
The filters were visibly not on so between the flowers and leaves that cover the top of the pool you also have a layer of sunblock and grime around the tiles inside the top of the pool. I appreciate they can’t control the wind blowing things into he pool but why isn’t it someone’s job every few hours to check on it and keep it suitable for paying guests?
It was so hot that you have to get in the water but i personally didn’t put my head under or find it relaxing.
I feel like this place could be so cool, it just needs some love, attention and maybe some more money thrown at it to get the final touches sorted.
