Stayed at this hotel as an overnight stop off before getting the EuroTunnel home. We weren’t expecting much, but it was actually very comfortable. The staff greeted us with professionalism and warmth and spoke English. The room was clean, bed comfortable and the bathroom spacious. We were even able to see our camper van park in the secure car park from our room. Of course, it’s very much a corporate hotel, so there was no ‘charisma’ to the decor, however this was to be expected. Peaceful night’s sleep was had all round!

Final stop over on our trip to France. Check in satisfactory. Bedroom large, bed comfortable. Room much too hot, air conditioning didn't appear to be working properly. Shower over bath was good but water didn't drain leaving you standing in inches of water. We used "express check out" as we had an early departure, but received an emailed invoice charged to my credit card for breakfast (which we take). Interesting that this was sent to us just after midnight on the day of arrival - not even had time to take breakfast - not impressed. Still awaiting for this cost to be refunded Mercure advise they cannot refund to credit card and have requested my bank details to do so, for security reasons I haven't forwarded them and really the payment should be refund in exactly the same way it was paid. I have not raised a dispute with my credit card company

A long weekend to visit Christmas markets. Hotel was in the processes of having the reception refurbished so a slight building site. Bedrooms are spacious and the bed was large and very comfortable! Room had a large shower and all the facilities we needed ( minibar and kettle) TV channels were not UK friendly (BBC World and CNN only). Good base point to visit other cities but also easy access to the town centre

Very good value hotel in an ideal spot for touring the World War 1 battlefields with it being so close to the motorways. Close to the tram station for access to Lille centre too. Staff in the restaurant at breakfast were super friendly while desk staff were less so.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. The spacious room had all the facilities that we needed. It was quiet at night and the bed was particularly comfortable. Although the hotel was conveniently close to the main road into Lille, it was well shielded by a collection of very attractive mature trees.

I have visited this hotel for forty years and I have experienced it under many flags. There is definitely an improvement over past brands. The attitude of the staff is definitely improved. The location is great, and the infrastructure is OK. The gym is small but adequate. The coffee machines do not work. The breakfast is expensive but there is a cheaper continental alternative. Wifi is free which is a relief but you need to login every few hours. In all this hotel delivers a fairly solid experience, but the price is quite outrageous depending on the day. Weekends are Euro 124 which is fine, but Mondays are Euro 250 which really really is not worth it.

This hotel is very quiet and comfortable. Although it is just outside the city centre it has a tram stop over the road from the hotel, and you can travel all day, on the tram, metro and bus for 4.10 Euros. Take the T tram and get off at Cerisaie.

Spent 2 nights here for a wedding. Room was clean and a good size as well as the bathroom. Asked for a smoking room when booking but called the reception desk to confirm. They confirmed this was fine! Next thing - one of the staff knocked on the door to provide some matches - we didn't even ask. They had an internet computer downstairs for free use and a printer attached. It had a printer attached which was also free to use. Very useful for printing off boarding passes! Breakfast was very good if not a bit expensive (we didn't include this in our booking). Good selection and tasted great. Your standard continental buffet breakfast. There was a sauna and gym on the ground floor that was unmanned and free for use 24/7. All in all - very much enjoyed the stay and would definitely return if heading back that way again!

The hotel is in Marcq-en-Baroeul, a small town north of the centre of Lille. It is a very pretty area, and you have good access by tram. The hotel was first rate: quite elegant and really lovely rooms. The down side was I was not as close to Lille as I would have liked. But it was a nice place and I would stay there again.
