A great example on how guest houses are so much better than hotels.

Superb accommodation, lovely big room very well appointed with a fantastically comfy bed. The owner, Christine, is a lovely lady and very helpful, I accidentally forgot my glasses but this was no trouble and an easy solution was found. Nice breakfast, home made jams that are simply delicious, excellent coffee. Nearby is a metro station that gets you to central Lille in 20 minutes, and 10-15 minutes walk up the road are a few restaurants in Villeneuve d'Ascq. I was visiting the university campus nearby, this was a great location and would certainly stay again when I am next in town.

I was only there for one night, would have loved to stay longer!

Nice quiet location with parking, beds are exceptionally comfortable, ideal if you stay for business

Nice quiet location, with private parking at no extra charge I was welcomed by the hostess, very friendly people. I had an appointment the next day in the afternoon and they let me stay until 13:00 hours without extra charge. I would prefer this B&B over any mainstream hotel nearby

Visiting for a wedding, Queen Christine proved to be the perfect choice for my stay.

The location is in a quiet area of town with good access to the centre of Lille. Christine, the host, was extremely personable and helpful. The room was quirky, colourful, fun and comfortable.

Spacious and clean room but parking an issue - not on site unless first to arrive

Parking says on site - only if you get there first as there is only 1 parking space - the others have to park on the pretty busy road outside. Breakfast is served a floor up - awkward if you have mobility issues . Our toilet was very small and compact . The windows don’t open much as the blinds prevent this .

Very good location. Helpfull and friendly host. Nice decorated rooms. Parking in front. Everything needes was in the room (coffee/thea, shampoo/shower gel, tissues, good towels...).

We just missed an egg for breakfast.

Passable

The second morning of our stay we were mixed with another couple around the same breakfast table. This felt very uncomfortable, for the other couple as well. This was so obvious (they kept on their masks) that we decided to leave breakfast before finishing. We would have expected a more careful approach in covid-times. The building of this B&B is so huge that easily another room could have been used for the other guests, I presume.

Leuk gebouw, maar jammer van het licht en lawaai.

Mooi gebouw dat er gezellig is ingericht. Vriendelijke ontvangst door de dochter en de dag nadien door de moeder. Het ontbijt was compleet al zouden wij kaas standaard voorzien, maar toen we het vroegen werd deze onmiddellijk gehaald.

In de kamer waren er lamellen als gordijnen waardoor er veel licht doorkwam. Gezien de kamer aan de voorkant van het gebouw lag en er verkeerslichten ter hoogte van de kamer zijn zag je constant het licht veranderen wanneer het veranderde. De deur van de kamer geeft uit op de deur van de andere kamer waardoor het licht aanspringt als je buren later thuiskomen en er ook langs die kant licht binnenkomt. Villeneuve-Arcq is op zich nog erg druk en ligt op 15 minuten rijden van de oude stad van Lille. Jammer dat je geen toegang krijgt tot de tuin achter het gebouw. Enkel het achterste gedeelte is toegankelijk, maar dat gedeelte is niet goed onderhouden.
