Quaint little cottage
Sofa needs skipped, coir carpets strong smell, no cafetiere provided for those who like their own blend of bean, no hamper, even milk and bread would have been nice, no champagne flutes, poor crockery, list is longer but hey !

it needs a tidy up. The windows were so dirty on our first morning we thought it was very misty. the boiler leaked and the garden , if we had wanted to use it was not ready . the whole place was very tired.

The location of Rosemary Cottage in Aldeburgh is very good. Close to the High Street shops, beach, fish and chip shop. Sweet little cottage, nicely laid out and comfortable. Great to have an enclosed garden for my elderly dog to potter around in.
I think the key safe on the front door should be replaced as it is old and rather crochety. When I first arrived I thought that I wasn't going to be able to open it but with a bit of fiddling I did. I think a new keysafe would prevent such worries.

It's well placed on the high street and makes getting out and around the town easy. Aldeburgh is a seriously unpleasant place, due to the clientele that holiday there (we found the majority to be insufferably arrogant, seemingly backed up by the opinion of the locals we found) but the cottage is a welcome refuge from self entitlement and provided a calm place to escape the unpleasant hordes.
Rosemary Cottage is at the more affordable end of what seems to be a nearly uniquely holiday cottage town, you should expect what you pay for. Key fixtures and fittings such as the bed, sofa, oven and TV are functional but not luxurious. The quaint, single pane windows were little protection against the pub clientele opposite or the swathes of screeching seagulls... Arguably not the cottages fault, but we would suggest ear plugs as a minimum. The cottage welcomes pets, but me, my wife and our dog all suffered bites and sneezes throughout, until we noticed that the rugs needed backcombing and hoovering, we would chalk that down as our main cleanliness issue. The place is ok, but just that. We didn't pay top dollar and we didn't get top dollar. It's probably fair, less the rug issues!
