Gosfield Cottage, Aldeburgh

Excellent location. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable lounge and bedroom.

The outside rubbish bin was full to overflowing. It clearly hadn’t been emptied for some time and in the heatwave it was very smelly and a health hazard. It was not possible to sit in the courtyard with this close by. Actually, smelly bin apart, the courtyard is very shabby and unattractive. A new bin collection system started in Suffolk in early June. Food waste is now separated from the rest as is paper and card. Plastic and glass also go into a separate bin. There are now 4 bins instead of 2. None of this information is available inside the house. So the rubbish is not separated out correctly and I guess the bin men aren’t collecting it as it would contaminate their particular bin lorry. All the required bins are in the courtyard. Information leaflets will have been delivered to the house but it would seem that no one has ensured that the new system has been communicated to the residents.

Location is amazing and the kitchen was lovely looking out to the courtyard, the bed was super comfortable 👌

Leaking tap..reported but didn't spoil out stay, dog friendly is not really fitting as the dog is not allowed anywhere apart from kitchen and hallway... my very needy dog found this hard so it was stressful 😫 The hoover needs replacing as it's not fit for purpose, but apart from that it was a lovely home.

Amazing location on the High Street. Comfortable beds with nice bed linen. Plenty of space to enjoy. Nice little garden yard to eat outside.
